I‘m not too happy about that tbh. Judges tend to underscore those who compete in an earlier group and she‘s actually opening the competition! I just hope things will stay fair and regardless, just hope she skates cleanly. Good luck, Aliona! :)
 
I remember the original rumours...and a lot of posters here scoffed at it at the time because it did tbh sound a little bit far fetched. But so far everything has been spot on?
1. Sasha with two quad combos –> she has a 4T-3T, a 4T-1Eu-3S
2. Alena already has her 3A -> she not only has a 3A, she also has it in combination

I look forward to see what else Team Tutberidze has in store for us all!

And say what you want about Eteri and the team, but I really admire their 'equal opportunity' mindset in the sport. Truly you can push a single skater and make a star as many do, but it takes someone with a great deal of idea of what sport should be, and what it means to be a competitor, to raise all your skaters to be on equal ground as much as possible without favoritism.

And may I add Alena's 3A looks so good :yahoo: I heard back then that Alena's injury wasn't super serious, but that her recovery, at least to us as outsiders, seemed so very very slow. To the point where she had to keep her SP and I know many posters her worried about her general condition. But clearly we know nothing as usual and Team Tutberidze has such great surprises – a 3A, and a 3A in combo! Such a nice tight spin position in the air, and such good height and such a good entry!

I didn’t realize, but all those ridiculous sounding rumors indeed were truthful. Sasha’s 2 quad combos sounded impossible, but they were indeed real. Alyona‘s 3A was also there it turns out... and the third one was Alina‘s quad?

Yes it was Alina 4Lz, and Anna has a 2nd quad but it’s inconsistent (assume it’s the flip)

If all the rumors turn out to be true, I’m not sure if anyone can contend with the 4A this season.

Anna with another quad but unstable
Sasha quads with steps in between – done to a certain extent?

It’s a draw and a chance.
Judges will be watched like never before over their objectivity. Lombardia made sure of that.

Alyona should just compete as best as she can, throw those triksels and leave the rest up to the judges.

Now a minor event turns into a major showcase for yet another astounding new senior from Khrustalniy :-)

Okay more stuff from the same spoiler lady? I can't Russian so this is pure google translate at its best (or worst) and again take it with a humongous grain of salt. I'm not really someone who enjoys speculating that much but I have to say Alena's 3A got me feeling really excited

I know those are just rumors, but in the light of it all coming true, it’s kind of heartbreaking to hear that Lilbet was doing quads and 3As in programs just to get injured and lose it all by GPs... sigh, better luck next year.
