She had some harsh calls and GOE. Of course she was upset. I believe Sasha used bad language in the K&C last week when she got lower scores than she was hoping for. They are human. People get upset when they feel undervalued. It is to be expected. Why would anyone make a big deal about it

Can you point a link to her bad language using? I would like to see that.

The russian cup is qualifiers to Nationals right? With Akatievas win here (as well as in the first one right) does that mean that we are now guaranteed to se her at junior nats?

Honestly with her apparent stability on the 3A and overall quality of everything else (apart from stsq1...) she could probably challenge for a medal. Also I hope we get to se her land the 4T in comp soon.

Adeliya Petrosyan just proved her worth, thinking on her feet to add back all the combinations that didn't work out as planned in her draft program. Some problems with stability and endurance, but a great skate nevertheless, but will her ranking be enough?

Sof'ya Gorbachyova delived an excellent free program just before, and will win a medal here. Good for her and her club and region.

Sof'ya Akat'yeva took a hard fall on her quad Toeloop but otherwise posted the superior score, triksel and all, but will no doubt be disappointed over her performance. Looks a little sad in the K&C.

Adeliya is 3rd with the total score 186.27. Alina Gorbacheva remained 2nd with 189.05 and the winner is Sofia Akatieva with 206.74. She fell on 4T, but could you imagine several years ago that 12 y.o. girls will jump two 3As and one quad in their program?

What did the IG story say? I can‘t see it on her page. I was a bit surprised too because I‘d only seen some complaints about the GOE on the lutz, nothing that included Aliona.

I can't find it right now but as far as I remember a fan couldn't believe she was 5 points behind Alena with a 3A or something to that effect. Nothing malicious. It was one of a series of stories she reposted, she didn't even write it herself. Of course it would have been better not to mention any names and I would have certainly preferred it but people make it sound as if she had slandered her rival on TV. She even refused to talk to journalists after her skate, so people clearly exaggerated that situation.

About Liza: I already said I‘m torn because I do admire that she‘s brave and gutsy enough to speak up when she finds herself being treated unfairly. But I also don’t think it‘s a necessarily smart thing to do and mentioning names especially is never good sportsmanship. I see now that the context wasn‘t as bad and it‘s certainly better than if she‘d written the comment herself instead of just reposting but I do wish she hadn‘t done it at all. You just... don’t do something like that. And Russian media, like always, will make a drama out of it.

As for Matteo. I don’t think he should be cancelled either. Skaters are humans and under far more pressure than we can probably imagine. It was certainly not good sportsmanship and disrespectful towards Daniel but everyone makes mistakes. I‘m sure he learned from it. And yes, Liza‘s reaction looked tame in comparison. Admittedly, I found her sarcastic thumbs up in the K&C quite amusing when I saw it.

Flip is also Tuks weakest jump worst than the Loop, maybe because she cant rotate 3T in her 3Lz combo; as simple why they tried with 3F-3T.

This Liza drama seems to be a storm in a teacup to me. She was disappointed - understandable. It's the media that makes such a big fuzz about it.

IMO Liza's behaviour in the K&C was nothing compared to Matteo Rizzo's, who stormed out of the K&C at last year's Italian nationals when he learnt he'd been beaten by Daniel Grassl.

Typical Italian hotheadedness, but that's a stereotype too ;-) He probably got an official reprimand for that, because it's against some rule probably. Tuktamysheva did nothing worse than badly hiding her disappointment in public view. What she did or didn't do on her social media later should remain in the private sphere, unless something really offensive was said. All these skaters and trainers know they are 'watched' 24/7, and not for saying and writing pleasantries ...

I notice Liza changing her layout a bit, it seems she's going for 2A-eu-3S but pop it, and that 3Lz-2T might be planned 3Lz-3T, with low TES it seems she get another e for flip? I wonder if Alena 2nd 3A get UR call or not it seems borderline. Interesting to see when Alina meet Alena
