2019-20 Russian Ladies' Figure Skating

That's about the time year and half before what I was talking about. Easier is not good word for what I'm talking about and I didn't use it nor wanted to indicate anything like that. However, I stand by the idea that Aliona so far didn't have the experience of Alina had last season. That's my point, experience, not having something "easier". If people here are talking as if it wasn't somehow hard to deal with such moments, then I say that it is necessary to differ between Alina, who had more time to learn how to deal with pressure.

I truly hope nobody sees anything "negatve, sarcastic or mockering because that is definitely not what I'm saying here.

Well, I must have misunderstood your post then because it came across differently to me than what you had intended. I apologize, then. Of course Alina, who is already in her third senior season and went to the Olympics etc., has a different mindset and more experience at dealing with hardship and pressure. She went through a lot last season. That's not up to debate. Aliona will need time. For her age, though, she has gone through a lot as well, injuries and the like. Both girls are exceptionally strong and I have my fingers crossed for them today.

Why does one have to bring court or Holocaust into this? I clearly stated the reason of my dissatisfaction. There are ladies who receive different treatment from the last season. This is manifested in the the combination of things. These things are obvious like edge call for Zagitova, the call that she never had before although visibly her lutz technique is the same. And like it was with Trusova who got -2 levels here we are also -2 levels (clean, !, e) It's a big deal. The number of these cases form now statistics. And the point is that those who experience this - and they do experience this like Alyona said yesterday: "Why did I bother?", those happen to be my favs. Is it a crime?

I firmly believe that there should be other explanations than: "her lutz was good before and not that good now" or "her lutz was always bad and finally they noticed it". Unfortunately, those attempts for analysis that I and some others try to do encounter immediate "Conspiracy!" shout.

I was not the poster who mentioned the Holocaust, although given that it is her professional expertise, I see no problem with the self identification.

It is a professional hazard for me, "discrimination" means certain things, and certain evidence that must be submitted. I can't help but see it through that prism :) Without that evidence, we have calls, judging, etc we disagree with, but no discrimination.

I do apologize for just dropping the line and then saying I wouldn't discourse further, that does seem unfair. If anyone would like to PM me about the joys of standard deviations and regression analysis, feel free.

I cannot remember that I used the term "discrimination".

OK, let's move on, then.

Only 20 minutes to go

Can we all be friends and hold hands now for the free skate?

We all want the same thing after all xD our girls to skate like the champions they are xD

He is trying to say "no" with the use of a YouTube video depicting a humorous clip of a movie with a robot asking the exact same question you did and Matt Damon's character responding 'negative'. Which means 'no'.

Sometimes you just have to take a post at face value and not impart ulterior motives.

Apologies to flanker for speaking for you but I felt you were being misunderstood and wanted to clarify.

No apology needed, I'm thankful

In other news, it seems like Daria is really gaining a lot of momentum. Certainly seems like she's on the right track. She's so lovely and I hope she can bring that to GPF and sneak in for a medal there :)

The confidence in that free skate!!! Every combo was so solid, I hope this is the start of a new trend. Maybe at the GPF she'll be less nervous since they'll be less pressure on her to outright win. When she goes clean its so beautiful! I mean that euler combo was just . I'm really interested to see what the judges will do between a clean her and a clean Sinitsyna. I love them both and want them both to medal, but that seems unlikely at this point.

I agree that was a really stunning skate! I find her skating so effortless when she hits everything, to me if she gets the confidence down then she will be the whole package. I can also see her adding in a 3A sooner rather than later, her 2A is huge!! And honestly with the goe those girls deserve, I could see Kamila, ksenia, and Daria on the podium at JGPF (my hope anyways).

So three down for #TeamTutberidzeForProgress .... and each and every of the former Terrific Trio have won their first GP's in the seniors after storming though their junior seasons.

... And Khrustalniy Aces Are Awesome And Amazing After All ... ;-)
