Sotskova won't be on the WS list anymore, so she won't get any. Stanislava however, as well as Samodurova will be on the WS list most likely, and the way RusFed supports Stanislava I'd be surprised if she didn't get at least one. Sinitsyna will for sure get 2, probably from Sotskova and Sakhanovich. The problem is for Tarakanova, Vasilieva, and Kanysheva if she somehow recovers and gets to Youth Olympics or Junior Worlds. If Samodurova and Konstantinova only get one each, then two of them can have one spot. But its not looking good for those three.

so i dont think they will get any GP next season.

I think so too. The ones that won't get a GP spot I think is Vasilieva and Tarakanova. They will probably have to skate in juniors yet another season.

They will lose their spots anyway if they keep skating like this so why bother acting and faking injuries or force retiring?

As beloved as Stasya is in Russia, as we saw last season with Sotskova with that many mistakes not even inflation can save you.

Let the competition decide who's worthy of getting spots and who's not

Kanysheva had 198+ at 2018 JGPF, add in a choreography sequence and she would have cleared 200.
Injury has prevented her from improving her scores and reputation.
Vasilieva needs work but she has powerful jumps and skating, she's not far off 200 at the moment

their coaches would fake injury of an athlete and sub them with another compatriot qualifier.

Okay can I just say as well, Zhenyas performance was MAGNIFICENT today [emoji7] like, everything was on point it was beautiful to watch

Sasha was an absolute cutie pie [emoji23] she definitely didn't let that little fall affect her at all. I feel like artistically the short is a way better vehicel than her free I liked it a lot. Only problem was the combo, she was basically stand-still at the end.

And Stasya.....oh Stasya. I will always have a soft spot for her, no matter what but that wasn't great to watch at all. When she falls the whole program is just affected which is definitely an oof. Also she was constantly trying to catch up to the music. Her short would be so good if she can get her nerves in check,, she has a nice musicality

It was very strange cause it looked like she was going for the lutz-loop but decided to change in the moment.

I'm pretty sure the lutz-toe was planned but the muscle memory was still going for the lutz-loop.

Well it was smart for Sasha to change loop to toe (the BV difference isn't even that big), but I still miss it as it was probably the best combo in the field.

Doesn't an athlete have to deliver the needed results to get the funding to stay on the national selection? I cannot imagine FFKKR overlooking Konstantinova's unreliability under pressure, while there indeed are new promising young seniors next season?

If the state funding only allows 7 skaters, the poorest performing athlete will be dropped. It would be good to set them a benchmark scoring potential of 220 points or something. I think Samodurova will be given a pass when she does well in her next GP qualifier. And of course, the decisive moment will be the National Championships.
