It's so funny that many people in here are against zhenya but most of the skaters and athletes just love her, including Sasha for example. You should take her as an example. She looks up to zhenya , still does . In the interviews they were lovely to watch together. And for that matter zhenya has been the one that claps when Sasha lands her quads or other jumps. But I am probably waisting my time because the ones in here will never want to see it that way.

You can have a skater who flies around the ice like her hair is on fire, but if she is no good at any of those other things she will lose points.

I said nothing about jumps. Read the Skating Skills components list again.

A skater can be very fast, but if her edges, one foot skating, coverage, curves and multi directional abilities are poor, she will suffer in her SS score

In American English “claim” is often used for an assertion that is disputed by the other side. So yes, I did read that into the word, sorry if that wasn’t meant

She is just a very cultured person from a good family. Recognizes all Zhenya's merits and respects her for it. This is undeniable.
Moreover, Eteri sets Zhenya an example to all to the present moment.

But do not think that Sasha is a little stupid girl. I heard that Sasha and Alena were very unhappy when Zhenya moved them at the end of the Gala after the last Russian championship. It really didn't look pretty.

But Sasha has a big heart. She cannot take offense for long.

Me too! I can't even English at times and it is my native language so I can't imagine how difficult it is for those who aren't English language natives

I keep reminding myself these Russian ladies well most are girls are people. And I hate saying that imho Stanislava has not held up well and with the vast richness of skaters really she kind of has lost her chance it would appear. I mean when Evgenia and Liza are really an afterthought for the Russian team that says a lot. The pressure all these ladies must be under thinking I must perform; I must get a quad if I want to compete at worlds is pretty intense. Can you imagine how intense and microspic views we take - for them they must feel every flinch every turn, every spin and rotation in the air is like life or death. One slip and we literally might never see them again competing. Can you imagine being the darling for a year or two and then pushed out by the next phenom. Yulia, Adelina, Elena, Anna P, Evgenia, Alina all world medalists seem to be pushed out

I second that. It is very difficult to give critique to Zhenya in here because the wolfs come out immediately. I, too, can think that she is overscored in PCS, she is certainly slow on the ice, I don't think she has the best tech potential etc. That is just my opinion. There is no hate, dislike there. Just an opinion. So she is not my favourite Russian skater, no, she never has been, but that shouldn't be a problem should it?

First of all I am a figure skating fan, and I especially love the Russian ladies, and Zhenya is one of them. I was supernervous for her tonight because I wanted her to skate clean. If she does well tomorrow that's great! But tomorrow I am rooting for Mariah Bell because she happens to be an even more favourite of mine. That's just the way things goes sometimes...

No first I thought that too but I watched the interview and since it wasn't others I knew it had to be another one she meant and there is only one that comes to my mind which has zhenya in it eating chocolate sweets, and trying to hide that she wants to have more of them[emoji23][emoji7]
