What? Alyona is million times better than Trusova and Shcherbakova. They just have prerotated quads and that is it. Alyona is special.

Yes they have.
Sasha didn't even try her 3A in the SP, that's nothing to do with Alyona.
Anna has 3 quads planned for her FS and Sasha 5.
Alyona has none.

Perhaps 90 is a bit much but I have to say that Alyona absolutely deserved it. Tell me, what’s wrong with her 3A? It checks off all the bullets! I would maybe take off a point for her 3Lz and call it ! but again the 3F+3T is completely deserving of +5 as well. Spins were fast, flexible and centered. The steps could perhaps be faster, but the difficultly was definitely enough for level 4 and the quality and ice coverage merit quite a GOE as well. Alyona’s skating skills are amazing and definitely some of the best in the whole world right now, her transitions are difficult but also performed with effortlessness, her performance is captivating and beautiful and her interpretation is on point. What score do you think perfection ought to receive?

... all jumps have to have prerotation. It’s physically impossible not to have prerotation. Trusova’s 4T has 160 PR, the limit is 180, therefore it is textbook and valid. Her 4S is correct as well.

I can see perfectly why Aliona got such high scores because her skating is crisp, fast, and clean. Her Triple Axels are a thing of beauty. Why would anyone think the Judges would favor one Russian skater over another? What exactly would be the point of that? Anna has scored higher then Aliona in the free skate berfore and if Sasha decides to throw it all in, who knows how it will come out. But what a thrill to see such great skating by these talented young Ladies who are only 15 and 16 years old.

This is unbelievably rude and incorrect. All three girls have worked hard and are deserving, and as another poster has said, Trusova's 4T and 4S are correct. There is nothing wrong with having a favorite skater, but why can you not support Alyona without putting the other girls down?

They have a chance. It's called the Free Skate and skating clean.

It's funny how some claim that Aliona is favored by her coaches and federation, and that Anna or Sasha are being pushed aside. I mean, they're all of the same age and come from the same coach, so it would be rational to think that judges just give them scores that they think the girls deserve. And Aliona excels in all parts of skating, the scores given to her are very logical when you compare them to what her teammates got.

Just a few months ago it was Aliona who was allegedly "sacrificed" by her team. Those changes of the narrative will never stop.

I think this was the original idea. I remember how in the beginning of the season at one official event were invited Alina, Alexandra and Anna, but not Alyona. Then Alyona changed the game by learning the triple axel and skating magically. And Sasha was more impressive with her quads two years ago, now not so much.
Poor Alina... she had the best programs this year. I wish she could return and skate them again.

I have a question: a triple flip or a triple lutz is worth about 6 or 7 points, right? (I might be wrong ) If you get an edge call on a 3lutz or 3f, how many points do you end up getting? 3 points?

I’m curious because a skater would get more points for a clean 3loop, right?
