Congrats to the trio! Seems like they decided to repeat last year’s scenario.

Competition is over for now, and while the top skaters performed really admirably (also happy for Stanislava's redemption!), I'm a bit sad for those who didn't have the day they wanted (both Ksenia Sinitsyna and Ksenia Tsibinova, and Maria Talalaikina especially).
Seeing how exquisite Anna's short was made me so happy for her and proud of how lovely of a skater she is, and while I understand the difference between her and Alyona, I am disappointed. It seems as if it is more rewarding to learn a 3A than a quad because of the SP rules, and that just isn't fair to me - quads should be worth more, and the difference in BV doesn't compare to the loss of not being able to do it in the short. If Alyona is clean tomorrow, she will win even if Anna is also clean, I fear, and I just don't know if I'd agree with that, though I love the skating of both girls (and Sasha, of course!)
Anyways, congratulations to the top 5 - those were amazing skates - and to everyone who skated clean, and may tomorrow bring redemption for those who didn't.

. All three of them should be at Euros and Worlds, so she'll get her redemption there!
As you can see, feelings do get hurt. Both Sasha and Aliona sad over not winning, and Anna feeling awkward. Notice the resemblance to the Olympics? It's impossible to not get emotional.
Seeing Sasha crying made me so emotional!
Legend says that if you say "Anna is the weak link" three times she shows up and wins Russian Nationals.
