Agree with most everything you said, except a bit about the judges liking a clean quadless program vs. a quad program with mistakes - if Anna's mistakes were only a under-rotation or a step-out like at Nationals, it would be 1 thing but so far at the GPF and Europeans she had a fall on a quad which has mandatory deductions -5 GOE and -1 for a fall. And Anna has won the FS portion of both of those competitions the only reason Kostornaia won the overall event was because she can do her triple axel in the SP.
What kind of 'clean Trusova' do you think beats the other 2? Do you think she can beat the other 2 if she's clean doing the layouts she had at Europeans or do you think she has to have at least 4 cleanly landed quads to do it?
What is her new music--it's a lovely piece--Chopin? I like the program but the cantilever seems somehow misplaced...
I was watching the Skating Lesson and I agree that 3A's shelf life is not looking good for BEijing. There were some signs at a recent skate Kostornaia is hurt - back, Trusova has grown over the last bit and has confidence issue. Anna has rotation / edge issues on the big jumps. I won't count them out but time and puberty arenot favorable for these ladies.

My fear with Trusova is that she has grown and may realize the pressure now and that affects her ability to skate especially and rotate the quads. I do like her fighting spirit and deire to get better including a possible new sp. But Rika i gaining momentum and after the disappointment last year I think she wants that gold and Bradie and Mariah are getting more feisty and hungry for a podium pot as well.

Yeah with Anna they need to work on the free skate and take a look at the jumps, cause the second half jumps are often under, the calls on the quads at Europeans felt a bit harsh to me.
If everyone skates clean Alena wont get higher than third place even if she is given 80 for presentation.
Not necessary.
Judges would inflate her GOE and deflate other twos. Even a totally perfect jump may be marked "-4" just because judges decided that way. "-5" is reserved for crashes, a pity...
