I have never understood the mechanics of how it is possible to pre-rotate a Lutz jump. If you are on the correct edge, you are curving
away from the eventual direction of the rotation in the air. It seems like the longer your blade is on the ice, the more (not less) rotation you have to do in the air.
A flip, on the other hand -- throw in a couple of three-turns and you are already rotating before you leave the ice. And yet pre-rotatoon on flips does not seem to be a big problem. (Compared to a loop, say). I just don't understand this sport at all.
