I find it highly unlikely they'd bother with having international minimum scores this year... they'll just be happy to have whomever is sent and healthy

The ISU has been clear they do intend to have minimums. The original rationale for them remains the case (just look at the few Challengers that the ISU was able to hold).
But they also need some kind of modification in light of the lack of opportunities for most skaters to get minimums this year.

Wouldn't Madeline be a better choice?
There are two spots for women, so they both could be selected. (Although I definitely world select Madeline over Alison if, say, Gabby was selected for one of the two spots.)
Yes. I just think with Madeline winning Canada Challenge, she is guaranteed her spot. There is debate that the second spot is between Gabby and Alison and I hope they go with Alison 
For the men, it could be Nam, Roman or Keegan. All three have a case. I just hope it is Roman, as he is my favourite.

Is there a list of which skaters / teams currently meet the ISU minimum scores? Does Gabby meet the requirement, as the scores need to have met in 2019-2020 or 2020-2021? According to her ISU Biography, she competed twice internationally in 2019-2020. At Skate Canada she got the ISU short minimum (32.94 > 30.00) but didn't achieve the ISU free minimum at either competition (SC 46.34 < 51.00; Finlandia 40.74). Am I missing something?Yes. I did not know this. If this is the case, then it should be Alison that gets sent to Worlds for sure. Does 2019 Worlds count? Because if it does, Gabby would have met the requirements there. But, that is part of 2018-2019 season. So, it looks like she doesn’t meet the free skate minimum requirements.
Alison does with her outstanding Junior Worlds performance. SP is at 33.40 and her Free skate at 60.54. Check.
At Bavarian Cup 2020, Madeline earned 31.78 in SP and 56.03 in free skate
At Challenge Cup, she got 32.68 in SP and 59.72 in free skate
Looks like these two have locked their spots down.

Daleman doesn’t currently meet the minimum score, as already discussed. Were she to be assigned she’d be in the same boat as Zhou and Knierim/Frazier.

My dream was to watch Keegan live in Stockholm. Then Canada was down to one spot in Montreal. Hoped for Nam winning two spots for 2021 worlds. 2020 worlds cancelled and 2021 with no live audience(will there be cartoons, haha maybe I should send my dog). I've no idea which man will be chosen. To go with expierence or the hungry youngsters? At least Keegan has done well at an actual competiton (Skate America) this season. And probably training well since then. Hard choice between Roman, Nam and Keegan when Olympic spots are at stake....

I looked at each criteria, and there really is no clear winner for them men. I love Roman, but he's definitely in 3rd place between him, Keegan, and Nam, based on this criteria. On paper, Nam might have a slight edge over Keegan (highest score last season, beat Keegan at 4cc), but I think they have to look at preparedness, and Keegan might have an edge on him for this season based on his geography (not much lost ice time, he has his oven rink in his backyard lol), and "international" showing at Skate America in which he scored to highest score between them this season. This is a hard decision.
We have 3 men that are quite equal when it comes to total score, and all 3 are capable of imploding anytime. Love our Canadian men.

yup... i agree... in my heart : send Roman... In my head : send Nam or Keegan... for women : send Madeline for sure... then I am lost... i cannot trust neither my heart/head can choose, so i go with my guts : Gabby (granted she is granted minimum scores equivalent)
Junior TES don't count toward senior events. However, Alison does have 30.38/57.96. You can look up the official senior TES scores by clicking on "Other Statstical Info" on the Golden Skate main page. It takes you to an ISU page with all kind of interesting links, including 2-year TES highs.

I am sure that the USA will find a way to send Zhou and K/F... and if it works for them, it should work for Gabby... actually, it's way more important for the USA to send those athletes... with our ladies... there is no way we can gain spots... and IMHO, if one of the girls gets top 12 it will be a great achievement, and perhaps, it may be done by Madeline... if she remains a great competitor on big international ice, like she is in smaller event... so I am not to worried about ladies though I love comeback stories and it would be amazing for Gabby to be given a chance to redirect her career !
I would't sent Gabby at the worlds as I stopped believing in miracles. In challenge competition I think she was over-scoreed mostly in the SP but also a bit in the long too. Even Catherine Carle was much better, but she was clearly under scored. I love Gabby, but I think international judges might not treat her like at nationals. With a similar SP, I don't see her qualifying for the LP.

Canada has an especially big dilemma about which Man they should send to the Olympics.
Keegan has the best scoring potential in the SP and is also consistent in that phase of competition, which is especially important for the Olympic team event. However, he frequently fails to deliver in the LP.
Roman usually scores the highest in the LP, and can perhaps be called the fan favorite, but has some consistency issues.
Nam is the most consistent but also the most uninspiring, his skating won't pull the biggest numbers or draw viewers in.
Keegan has the best scoring potential in the SP and is also consistent in that phase of competition, which is especially important for the Olympic team event. However, he frequently fails to deliver in the LP.

one thing at a time... this is just worlds... who knows what will be available for the olympics... Canada could, perhaps, bring back two spots... and then, well, two men could share the team event skates...
also, I have to say that Nam has improved a lot in performing to his music and his programs at challenge were very inspiring... i usually do not feel much watching him, but i was sincerely drawn to his skating this time around... he is so much better than he used to be... let's not forget that when he came on to the international scene he was 15-16 years old... he is developing his own style more and more... he is getting exciting to watch and is a great communicator. He may not be the deepest performer but he shines in his own way...

I hope they send Roman. The three best men are are roughly equivalent with the jumps... about the same content and about the same consistency. I think Roman and Keegan are the most authentic in their skating.
And, to be honest, there is something to be said about accountabiity. Nam and Keegan lost the spot by virtue of pretty shabby performances at the last World's. By that criteria alone, I'd sit them out this time, especially when there is a viable alternative. Plus, Roman is the National Champ. No matter how you slice and dice it, two of these guys aren't going. I'd let those two guys be Nam and Keegan.
