I was actually looking for videos of Ria skating in Oberstdorf, but couldn't find any. Much to my surprise, she never competed at the Nebelhorn Trophy. She did compete at the Bavarian Open many times, but there just aren't any videos on YouTube.

I don't think so, because according to her ISU Bio, Maia was born in Vancouver. And Pernille's Wikipedia page only mentions a brother.

Maia trains in Oberstdorf, so this is a "home" competition for her. And here is a lovely photo of Maia with one of her training buddies... the skater that is on straight after her today!

Not Turkish (as you know), but according to behindthename.com:

From Turkish güzide meaning "distinguished"
