Why isn’t Canada sending any senior skaters to the Challenge Cup. Don’t some of them still need their minimums? Why don’t they like giving skaters opportunities?

I wish Canada would. Last time I was there in 2020 (in 2021 it was in a bubble with no spectators) I saw Madeline showing great promise - and get a medal.

Unless a skater needs the minimums for a post-season assignment they typically aren't sent to senior Bs in the second half.

While I'm fairly certain that Roman's poor performances at the Olympics were mostly due to his panicky nerves, a part of me did wonder at the time if he was worried about what might happen to his relatives who live in Ukraine. Should the situation there worsens, how might that affect his emotional state at Worlds?

Shocked and terrified. Looking at what’s going on in Ukraine is devastating. Having family there, it hits really close to home. My heart and prayers goes out to all those suffering in this situation ❤️

The latter half of Roman's tenth vlog (which was uploaded exactly 4 years ago) was filmed from a Ukrainian hotel he was staying at while visiting his extended family, and he mentions an aunt and a grandmother.

oh well;.. private account :) you must be special :) I am not ;)
Most of the time, if you follow a private account, the person will grant your follow. I think it's a mechanism to minimize trolling. A troll isn't going to want to wait a day to frolic, so they don't bother following private accounts.

Brandon Frasier also has a private account, and he granted my follow request, and I assure you I don't have an inside track of any sort there. He doesn't know me from Adam. I have never posted a photograph on Instagram, and have made only a handful of likes or comments - I just use it to follow skaters and golfers I enjoy, diet and exercise advice for seniors, that sort of thing.

i don't even have an account ;) so that's not happening for me.... I can look not so private account because of work-related social media but would never follow anyone with these for personal interest ;)

Oh, I understand.

By the way, he did approve my follow, so i saw the video.

It's not Roman. The video, a really nice 4T was Conrad Orzel. If Ravi can help Roman achieve this quality, it's a move worth making.

Edit: I have no idea why I thought the discussion of the video was about Roman... when clearly @Ziotic said it was of Conrad. My apologies for the mixup, which is entirely my bad.

no problem about the mix up :) I knew you meant Conrad :) Roman : as much as some of us would like him to try a new coach, seems very loyal to Wainman and has moved to Orser and back before... so he is probably happy with his arrangements. Conrad was stalling at TCC so I am happy my son moved to Ravi... Ravi is a tall man and may have a trick or two about teaching quads to giants :)

Ravi looks to be a fun coach who cares for 'his' skaters. And tries to get into their heads, in the best kind of ways: what would they want to do at a junction? But will it be the right thing? Like getting Kaethlyn back to skating again.
