Ravi also brought Patrick back to competitive mind after his Skate Canada disaster and leaving evil coach problems... I think Ravi could infuse some joy in Conrad's skating , help his quads and help him achieve his levels.

Now that the ISU has banned Russian athletes from participating in its competitions (including the upcoming Worlds), maybe our Canadian figure skaters will be able retain the current number of spots for Worlds.

sorry but i think they were going to retain their spots anyways...

Skate Canada was one of the ISU members who pushed for the ban on Russia and Belarus (although I've noticed that the official statement erroneously uses "the Ukraine" when it should be just "Ukraine").

oh well... i wished MTM had had a chance to finish better than that... without Chinese and Russian pairs, they may have been close to reach the podium... even if it's an unusual medal, it would have been a nice way to end their career.

I was surprised to see no MTM on the entry list, but maybe their plan was for their last skate to be at the Olympics.

With the Russians out, I'm very surprised they didn't give it one last go, unless there are nagging injuries. They didn't have the skates they wanted at the Olympics and I'm surprised they didn't want to try to go out on more of a high.

Glad to see James/Radford are slated to go. I hope they stick around for at least another year.

They probably didn’t know the Russians were out until after the decision was made. With no Russian and Chinese skaters, that takes out 5 teams that placed above them. I don’t think they would have passed on that opportunity if they knew it was there.

I will miss Canda's Kirsten MT and Mike M. Their skills really improved over the years but their performances this year were subpar and I really grew tired of the same sappy, moody music. But they certainly had some notable performances and I wish them well.

Nothing but positive vibes and genuine support for our Roman S. @ Worlds. After such a tough Olympics, he is ‘jumping back on the horse’ to display his amazing skills and strength. Nothing but kudos. We have all been there in our own personal ‘moments‘. He can do it. We know it.
And with close relatives in Ukraine, this will be even more impetus for him to shine in their honour. Let’s share in quiet confidence for this quality Canadian skater’s skater! Go Roman!
