sorry but i think they were going to retain their spots anyways...Now that the ISU has banned Russian athletes from participating in its competitions (including the upcoming Worlds), maybe our Canadian figure skaters will be able retain the current number of spots for Worlds.

Dance was going to be tough for 3 spots, looking at the Olympic results. Now it should be easier.sorry but i think they were going to retain their spots anyways...
i don't think S/K were ever going to compete... and I don't think our teams were going to make the same mistakesDance was going to be tough for 3 spots, looking at the Olympic results. Now it should be easier.
In addition to Ice Dance, there's a possibility we could lose a spot for the Men.sorry but i think they were going to retain their spots anyways...

Entries for Worlds are out. Nothing really surprising. Only change is WM is replacing MTM.
certainly implies it.... but i am sure there will be a nice post about it sooner or later.Does this mean that Kirsten & Mike have officially retired?
With the Russians out, I'm very surprised they didn't give it one last go, unless there are nagging injuries. They didn't have the skates they wanted at the Olympics and I'm surprised they didn't want to try to go out on more of a high.I was surprised to see no MTM on the entry list, but maybe their plan was for their last skate to be at the Olympics.
They probably didn’t know the Russians were out until after the decision was made. With no Russian and Chinese skaters, that takes out 5 teams that placed above them. I don’t think they would have passed on that opportunity if they knew it was there. With the Russians out, I'm very surprised they didn't give it one last go, unless there are nagging injuries. Glad to see James/Radford are slated to go. I hope they stick around for at least another year.
