Bad news for US competitors. It looks like the US is going to be put in them red zone for Europe this week. That means all competitors would need to quarentine two weeks before entering Europe. That affects both skaters on the JGP, CS, Nebelhorn, and both GPS in France and Italy. I hope USFS is prepared.
I don't expect any issues for the US skaters because, a) this is just a recommendation from the EU, the respective countries can still handle it however they want and b) the recommendation specifically does not apply to fully vaccinated people, they are exempt from any quarantine restrictions. It's impossible for an athlete to quarantine two weeks and then compete.

The vaccines used in America are recognized by the EU countries. So only unvaccinated skaters would be subject to a quarantine. There is plenty of time for skaters to get a vaccine, although I suspect most American skaters are vaccinated. I know Jason is :)

Per AP news, EU council member publicly said "this is without prejudice to the possibility for member states to lift the temporary restriction on nonessential travel to the EU for fully vaccinated travelers".

Like others were saying, this is not changing much (if anything at all) because most (if not all) US skaters seem to be vaccinated with an EU approved vaccine.

So, does this mean the skaters headed to Nebelhorn will be fine?

If they are fully vaccinated with Pfizer, Moderna, J&J or AstraZeneca, yes.
All of those, minus AZ are the only approved vaccines in the US, so unless they got another vaccine elsewhere, they should be fine.

Hope we get some news on bradie pretty soon. Getting worried. She is the only one who we didn't see or hear anything at all. Is she ok?
Someone on another site said Bradie's pretty injured and looking "super rough" :frown: They had other info, e.g. about Nathan and Mariah's programs, so they seem pretty credible, but I'd like to get some corroboration.

They also said that Alysa's 3A is "still not great but she's rotating and landing a few," and that Karen "looked good, nothing new."
