From my perspective, I love Starr and what she brings to the sport, but last season (and also the summer competition in California) was really rough: fatigue during the program, popped jumps, mistakes... I don't know how she will be executing such an element in competition, and as the post above me says, how will it benefit her... but we'll have to wait and see at the GP! please enlighten me if Imade some false statements

Notable US women competing in the Senior category at Mid Atlantics in NYC tonight (no stream): Isabeau Levito, Lindsay Thorngren, Gracie Gold, Rena Ikenishi.

It will be interesting to see Lindsay and Isabeau go against each other as I see them as the future of the US Ladies led by Alysa.

I feel so good for Alysa! All of her jumps are much improved. The 2axel is much bigger and even looks like a good jump now (her previous 2axel was underwhelming), and the rest of her triples have more air and distance. I'm so glad she's going to Nebelhorn to get that third spot. However, I'm nervous that she'll be in Europe for so long, and Covid exposure. We still need one (or two) other American ladies there just in case Liu has a positive test. But yeah, Alysa is ready for Nebelhorn. She'll own it.

Alysa! 😍 wow! She was great! Big clear jumps and the combo at the very end. Only thing she needs o work on is to improve the last spin to a level 4 spin, and then to work on the triple axel.
She is already about 12 points ahead of the rest of the field. I think she can try a triple axel attempt for the free skate. Good for her! I’m going to watch her performance live tomorrow while juggling the Russian Test skates. Great day tmrw to be a fan of figure skating.
