What's your obsession with Trusova? Always taking the chance to bring her down.. some kind of insecurity.. Why don't we wait for NHK?:rolleye:
I took it as a matter of comparing factual numbers. People speculate about how many 'ultra-c' elements and 'triksels' girls will land but in the end we compare scoreboards as a reference for the elements performed on a ISU competition stage.

Note: this is unrelated to this thread, but I love Trusova. For now, unless Sasha bombs her programs (to which, anything and everything may happen under pressure on a competition), Sasha is still the favorite to win on any GP. That's just a fact given her admirable BV.

Thanks for posting this! What a great skate. Alysa is such a pleasure to watch -- her joy, spirit and love for performing are just infectious and make me happy to be a figure skating fan
or

ETA: Also, I really enjoyed her music choice. Refreshingly not overused, at least lately that I know of, and a nice classical piece with different moods.
I hope I don't get flack for this but, I wish these skaters would call Sasha Cohen or Yulia Lipnitskaya if they're going to do these catch foot spins in a high arabesque. The flexed boot at the top of that spin is just not attractive. IMO, Of course. Her jumps are beautiful and the speed in her spins is there so, this is just a nitpick.

I would also take it that way if it came literally from anyone else but the person in question. Obviously Worlds wasn't Trusovas best showing. But the person mentions Trusova so much they're almost a fan!

I also actually like Alysa as I have felt her and Trusova were a bit alike. And I'm happy to see both of them improving! But if some people can't compliment with out bringing down others🤷‍♀️

She very clearly loves to skate. And it's refreshing to see her throw that joy to the audience across the rink.
Yes, that is just so true. Very rare these days to see this pure joy of skating at the top level of FS. It is contagious and it makes you rejoice with her, like her, and wish her well whatever she does.
Today's silver medalist, Katia Kurakova, radiates similar innate love of skating, and just being, visible in all her presence on the ice.
Refreshing and beautiful in our tense world of overachievers. Such a pleasure to watch!
Even more so, when they actually do achieve!
Congratulations and fingers crossed for more to come!

Lindsay T just finished skating and she scored 130 in the free skate. Rena is next and I hope she skates clean enough to hang on for the bronze medal. She is my favourite of the senior ladies in the bottom half of Nationals. Waiting to see what Isabeau does…. I’m tired. Three competitions in a row with very little sleep 😵‍💫

Nice to see Lindsay break the 200 point barrier. Let's hope Isabeau has a nice skate as well

WOW - I clicked on the Mid Atlantic score link at the right time and Isabeau just put up a 146 in the FS

I so wish some coach or assistant had decided to surreptitiously record these performances. I'd love to compare Lindsay and Isabeau's skates to what they did on the JGP. I'm sure there's some domestic inflation involved, but I also believe both are capable of some very real high scores.

I enjoy very much Alysa Liu new SP and FS program !

What I like about her is her joyful personnality, it make her skating beautiful because she enjoy every moment in her skating.

We could see it with the intensity of her speed, flow and arm movement that she enjoy skating so much.

She remind me Kaetlyn Osmond who was really joyful person on the ice.

Alysa Liu will maybe having a Kaetlyn Osmond moment in the Olympic. I wish her because I like her smile and joyful personnality on the ice.

She’s…fine I guess? I’m glad she gives you all these feels. She gives me no feels.
I wish all skaters well, though.😀

Isabeau scored a massive 146.12 for a total of 219.89 while Lindsay scored 130.19 for a total of 202.37. I am wondering if either of the two attempted 3As or quads.
This young lady continues to impress!! Such an exciting and bright future!

I had to Edit this post and congratulate Alysa on her BIG Win! More than 20 points ahead of her nearest competitor. Bravo!

:points: :cheer2::rock:

We also can't overestimate the impact of Massimo. I understand he has been instrumental in refining Alysa's SS.
Yes to this. My kid had a try-out when Marina Zueva was still in Canton. My kid worked with a few of the coaches while there, and I was so disappointed that scheduling couldn't make Massimo happen. Seeing him on the ice was such a thrill. His understanding of movement in skating is exceptional. Having him for skating skills is basically a brilliant move.

Lindsay attempted a 3a which was downgraded. No 3a from Isabeau.
Isabeau has a 4Toe with her that is still in the works, but it hasn't been rotated or landed yet in competition. She is a powerful and tight jumper, so if she can work on getting it better with more speed and height, it might be really strong for her.
