The Lithuanian lock-out of the Top 3 places overall ends with Jade Hovine (BEL) taking over the lead.

Which means that going into the final group, the only change to the SP order has been Jogailė AGLINSKYTĖ (LTU) dropping 2 places, going from being top of the Lithuanian group to bottom of it.

And, unfortunately, that is where I am going to have to leave for my Sunday dinner. But, you can be sure that I will be pausing the stream so that I can play catch-up and see if my kid Marilena can win this.

I have to admit, after what happened to Stefania earlier, I am nervous for Marilena. But, hopefully knowing that she is now not trying to complete Cyprus' first double win will ease the pressure.

Popping in to send my best wishes to my kid.

(I can see she's already started, but I didn't realise the clock in the kitchen was 10 minutes slow).

:cheer: ALL THE BEST MARILENA!!! :cheer:

Drat! I forgot that with the extra guy that the segment would start earlier than in the timetable! :bang:

And now. The end is here. And so we face. The final curtain.

The chaos has started, but I am playing catch-up on the girls.

Livestream for the Senior Men's FS is now on air.

Here is the link for the archived livestream (starts at 7h 10m 02s):

Just watched the last of the Lithuanian girls to skate, Meda VARIAKOYUTE, and she had the exact same problem that Jolanda VOS (NED) had in the Juniors this morning. Her music cut out about two thirds of the way through the programme, and she continued on skating to the end of the programme without music.

However, unlike Jolanda, Meda was not told to repeat the part of the programme that she did after the music had cut out.

Why the different treatment?

Marilena had a dodgy landing on I think her 3rd jump. And then she had 2 falls around the half-way point.

But apart from those issues, everything was absolutely beautiful.

Ah, now this is interesting. Stefania's coach, Sergei Komolov, is meeting Marilena. Well, I suppose it is more cost effective for a small Fed to have one coach looking after both skaters.

She looks happy enough.

Marilena finishes 5th in the FS, and 3rd overall. So, not too dissimilar to Stefania (6th in FS, and 3rd overall).

After winning the SP, there will be a disappointment at dropping to 3rd. But, when she looks back, she should be happy with how well she did despite the mistakes.

Plus, both skaters from a small Fed winning a 🥉 Bronze Medal in their respective levels at the same event is a great achievement.

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

:cheer: WELL DONE MARILENA!!! :cheer:

I really enjoyed the comeback of Nina. She must be happy to be back and with a silver medal 🥈

Marilena had a shaky first half. But, she lost the gold medal in the second half. Not sure if it is lack of stamina. But, no combos besides the opting triple double combo really cost her.

Really weird how the two girls from Cyprus ended with similar results at this event.
