Moving into Seniors.

Many skaters seeking World TES minimums: Gutmann, Sauter, Hovine,...
Kessler and Lewton-Brain among Men (but key for them is tomorrow as they lack FS minimum and already have the SP one).

Whereas the Advanced Novices and Juniors have been finishing their campaigns, the Seniors that we have coming up now are only starting out. As with the rest of the day, it is boys first, then girls.

Unlike the earlier chaos categories, where there were only 2 skaters left in each competition after withdrawals, there is actually a good number of entries for the Seniors. 10 boys, arranged into two groups of 5.

The downside to this is that, with things running so late, I am not going to see any the chaos LIVE, as I will be breaking away to eat. And, I mightn't be back tonight. Unfortunately, if the past couple of days are anything to go by, the archived livestreams will get zapped.

Just opened the stream again in another window to keep an eye out for the girls starting, and I spotted the comment of the year in the chat:

"I like that U2 song what you're playing while the competitors are waiting for their points. But after two days I begin to hate it "​

I wouldn't be a big U2 fan. But I wholeheartedly agree with this person. Even if you liked the song, hearing it this often would definitely drive you to hate it.

And we finish the day by staying with the Seniors, but moving from the boys to the girls. 18 of them, arranged into three groups of 6 girls.

I'm currently playing catch-up on the boys, but I don't think I'll get watching the girls tonight.

Hovine didn't get the TES minimum for Worlds. She needed 32. She scored 30.44

Doboska just achieved the SP minimum. She already had the FS one (from Budapest Trophy)

Hopefully, she'll get a bit of neighborly love at Challenge Cup (Tilburg is barely 20 min from the Belgian-Dutch border) and manages to get her minimums there, it would be amazing if Belgium could fill all (or as many as possible) of their entry quotas.

Now Italy even has 3 women with the TES minimum for Worlds, and that is after a lot of worrying about the Italian women.

Only one spot, but I assume they'll send Lara now that they can, as she is the reigning National Champ

IIRC the criteria is sum of Nationals + 3 best other competitions (one of them having taken place after Nationals). If the gap between athletes in said ranking is less than 20 points, selection committee can pick out of order

Ah, Julia. If only she hadn't had the step-out after the 3T+3T or the turn after the 2A, she would have been good as gold with this panel, and she'd have her TES minimum. (She missed it by 0.1 at last year's Worlds)

Could not watch the women as the archive stream hit the limit after men.
But I saw lots of Austrians and others in between now.

Our Advanced Novice Nikolaj looks soo tall could be Canadian haha
Eles was amazing! (also adv nov)
The girls had okay and good programs. I have the feeling Hannah grew since the JGPs and tries more triples now hence the falls(?).
Flora held her position with some mistakes.

In general I like that the juniors and below got a lot of fun and unusual music pieces this season.

And wow - Luc won the SP? Clean jumps "saved" him. I don't understand Davide's 3T-3T though..leaving points on the table.

After a day of exclusively Dragon Cup action, the final day begins with the return of the Tivoli Cup this morning. And it is completely Basic Novice skaters.

We start with the boys, and it is a pretty decient sized entry list. A group of 6 of them.

Mmmm. The stream isn't great today. It's coughing and spluttering a lot, making the picture very jerky.

I know I left the computer on all night with yesterday's stream paused, in the hope that this would allow me to watch the Senior Ladies SP this morning. (Alas, the stream refreshed as soon as I pressed "Play"). But, I shut down the computer for about 2 hours, from the time I discovered that my plan didn't work to the time I started getting things set up for this morning's action.

So, I don't think the problem is at my end. I think it's at the stream's end.
