This is why I like skaters from different countries. Their choice of music and style were refreshing and I enjoyed their approach and look forward to seeing them develop. Also yay mirror pairs.

Actually really love the "framing" of the rink with the second jump combo, but obviously not the goal in pairs skating. Low levels, but some good elements like the first throw.

Yeah, I guess maybe the lack of speed knocked them down, plus the jump sequence was super out of synch, so I guess that didn't help.

Heh Ted talking about the mirror jumps being hard on the tech panel, I remember getting kind of dizzy watching their side by side mirror spin.

Although wait Linda does jump in the usual anti-clockwise then? Well that means the throw jumps won't be so hard for her!

Aliyah ACKERMANN / Tobija HARMS GER take a more traditional approach and are more aggressive. She seems to be struggling a lot this event.

Interesting to see them upgrading the twist and the Throw Loop, while continuing to struggle on the lifts and the death spiral, but I guess in junior pairs you have to take every chance you can get.

I was thinking the same thing. The early wonky lift where she never caught the blade and the slip on the death spiral.

Man, I wonder if Aliyah saw that fall in the death spiral coming? Must have been a bit of shock either way!

I feel like I have been a bit harsh on them. She is a very nice size for him, brave to try the harder elements. We will see if this was just one of those events where a lot goes wrong. We will see on their next outing where this team is heading. They do not seem discouraged in K&C so good.

I assume they started preparations for this season quite late due to the unclear situation with their age.
Tobija skated with Hyejin Cho for a little bit in the Summer, so I assume he was looking around for a potential new partner.
