Karolina BIALAS POL was striking in that gorgeous gold dress. Pretty delicate skating, very fast in the air.

Eliska BREZINOVA CZE - I really like this program for her. The opening combo started with a pop and double. Nice comeback with 3LZ

Warm-up Group 2
5 Dimitra KORRI GRE
6 Natalie KLOTZ AUT
7 Frida Turiddotter BERGE NOR
8 Genevieve SOMERVILLE GBR
9 Aleksandra GOLOVKINA LTU

Lots of cheers for Aleksandra when she was introduced. Well, she is a local skater now. ;)

Awwww. She's skating to "Clair De Lune". I'm nearly sure she's skated to that before.

Beautiful combination to start with.

But fall on her second jump.

Spins that followed were beautiful. As was the third jump.

Wow! She built up a lot of speed in the spins after that. She could have drilled through the ice! :drama:

Not sure about the change of music for the last third of the programme. But, it was reflected well in the skating, so I can't complain.

I know I am over-using the word "beautiful", but that is what everything about this programme was.

SHE'S TAKEN THE OVERNIGHT LEAD WITH 52.71 POINTS!!!!

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

That's my girl!!!

:cheer: WELL DONE ALEKSANDRA!!! :cheer:

Given who finished the first segment of each disciplines, the following will count for World Standing points (for top 5 finishers)

Senior Men
Senior Women
Senior Pairs
Junior Women

Junior Men and Junior Pairs will count for achieving minimum TES for ISU Championships but they have not enough entries/number of countries for World Standings.

Like yesterday, Day 2 starts with an Advanced Novice double-bill. 13 girls (a group of 6; then a group of 7); followed by a group of 7 boys.

Unfortunately, the MotoGP Feature Race is on at the moment, so I will not be able to watch LIVE.

Livestream for the Advanced Novice Ladies FS is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream:

Podium Ceremony (starts at 7m 40m 16s):

Summary Jr Worlds TES minimums:
  • Linda de NARDIN / Patrizio Romano ROSSI LOPEZ (ESP) - Already had FS minimums, didn't manage to achieve SP minimums here
    • Next stop: Trophée Metropole Nice Côte d’Azur
  • Sofia ENKINA / Nikita KOVALENKO (ISR) - Achieved FS minimums here, missed SP minimums by 1.16 points
  • Debora Anna COHEN / Lukas VOCHOZKA (CZE) - Already had both SP & FS minimums
    • Next stop: Diamond Spin
  • Lucy HAY / Kyle McLEOD (GBR) - Achieved both SP and FS TES minimums here

I thought the Fins did quite well compared to yesterday. Always a nasty thing when an lift doesn't go up, with the Americans. It's going to cost points, even if it wasn't scary!

And it did...the Fins have surpassed them.

No issues with lifts with Barbora and Martin (although Martin had a difficult look on his face with one of them) but some strange missteps at the end - no falls, no element, but a shame non the less.

Well, I've seen Sara and Niccolo skate better, but I think this really is the best of the FS. So they'll probably remain in first place!
