The event really heated up in the final round.
I agree that they overused Adeliia and Mark, but if Alina was more stable in the individual round maybe she would have made it over Sofia as a second girl with quads that they could swap out with Adele to keep up with the quad boys (but she's too unstable and had a nightmare 1st round).
Maybe they should have put in Mura more for the events with triples against Ksenia and Frolova so that Adele isn't running low on stamina while high on rage/frustration after each mistake she makes. It would give more time to breath and for her emotions to calm (she was not made for the jumping comp). Mura also has a nice 3Lz and can also craft beautiful entries into her jumps so she'd be fine against Ksenia and Frolo. Mura did fall on a couple solo triples as well back in the individual round so she's not as consistent as Ksenia and Anna so I can see why they'd be worried, but I think she'd be okay on a solo 3Lz for the team tournament in one round. If Mura missed it or fell on the 3Lz it would be okay since Adele had a fluke fall on a 3Lz she could usually do in her sleep anyway then resurrected in the next round landing 3A and quads. But they couldn't predict the future so, it is what it is.
I didn't enjoy the women's individual as much as last year (Adele and Mura made too many mistakes this year against a cleaner Anna and Ksenia, even though they (Mura/Adele) both had harder ultra-c jumps while Anna and Ksenia had zero ultra-c to showcase). Last season's quad/3A bloodbath was a lot more entertaining. I wish the juniors were there, but I get that people were enraged that the kids destroyed the adults last season. Hopefully next season, the new Juniors turned senior heighten the level of ultra-c competition amongst the girls.
The team event was very fun and got better towards the end. Loved Adeliia and Mark (but wish Adele had more fun/controlled her frustration at herself).
