I just watched Pereira/Michaud's programs from Cup of China, and I LOVED them both. They are a huge step up in sophistication and I think they're progressing in finding their style. I wondered whether the Sing, Sing, Sing would work for them, but I think it does, brilliantly. It brings out Lia's sparkle. I notice big improvements this season. Last season was tough for them and the beginning of this season wasn't promising either, but I thought they really showed up here.

I also loved their tango. The choreography is brilliant and once again it lets Lia's expressiveness shine. I love that they've incorporated a lot of tango touches throughout the elements and transitions. I love the new lift where he flips her up — really eye catching. The death spiral and exit is great. Still some work to do, but I was very excited when I saw this. I also thought their twist looks a lot cleaner and better this year.

Also, I think Lia is one of the best-dressed women. Her LP dress especially is stunningly beautiful. The cut and the back design is exceptional. It all adds to their much more polished look this season.

I really enjoyed both programs also. They don’t have the biggest throws and twist etc so I like that they can bring extra in the choreography. It’s kind of like Jason brown can’t do all the quads but brings a different level in performance. To me they stood out quite a bit.

I really liked Fiona and Ben's performance. For such a new Team, they have loads of potential and she is like a CAT that will land everything. What a delight to see Katherine Medland Spence WIN in her debut. Nationals will be up for grabs to anyone who wants it badly enough and steps up, especially in singles.

They look pretty good, the last lift I wish had more confidence? I don’t think he would drop her but if you gonna go around on the corner it has to be done well. I don’t want to feel scared as a viewer. Since they are new it might take time? Hopefully anyways !!

Has Canada learned nothing from Warsaw Cup? ! There are no entries from CAN for Golden Spin.
:)
I guess the deadline was passed anyway when the results from Warsaw Cup came...

but at the same time, it's Challenge this weekend so it's perhaps a bit too close ? I would say it makes more sense to give an assignment the week before and then, if the skater doesn't want to do challenge, they get a bye... but a week after, we could get in weird situations where a skater takes a bye but then don't end up going to their Challenger due to a snow storm or whatever ;)

I don't know. I am less upset about Golden Spin than every other Challenger event where do don't have skaters ;)

Although I love it, that Golden spin always has quite a line-up (a bit like a B-final of the GP, but with additional skaters), it is also the competition you can't watch, there isn't even an payed stream.

I am looking forward to your Challenge though, which will be live streamed as usual (for free). I hope it will be exciting!
