Tachlers, CZE, Id are changing coaching team but I don't quite get where. There ae Us anbd Finland's flags on their post.

Edit. Looks they will train mainly in Finland. So it must be Maurizio's team. Please correct if understood wrong.
I read they'll be coached by Maurizio Margaglio.

I like the atmosphere - and the results - of both their old training center in Italy with Zanni and their new one in Finland with Margaglio. But they seem to have stagnated a bit so maybe this will be a good change for them. Also perhaps they'd like a break from training next to Mrakova/Mrakov. I would think it could be both stressful and inspiring to train next to your rivals.

A number of country changes have been flagged up by the Irish Championships, which were held over the past two days in Dundee, Scotland.

All of the Ladies Singles skaters that actually competed were new arrivals to the Irish team. The preview article posted on Friday to the ISAI website has brief summaries about all the competitors, which explains the backgrounds of the new team members:

https://isai.ie/irish-figure-skaters-set-to-close-out-season-at-nationals/

There was only one entry in Advanced Novice Ladies. Lexie GRAHAM (Carlow) has switched from France to Ireland.

Moving onto Junior Ladies, and the winner, Julianna FARRELL (Cork), has switched from America to Ireland.

I hadn't come across either of those girls before. But I am familiar with the other new team member.

You know how, ever since Milla O'Brien (the Swiss born and raised Ice Dancer with a Finnish mother and an Irish father) split with her partner Laurin Wiederkehr, I have been advocating for Milla to switch to Ireland when she finds a new partner. Well, when trawling through results from Swiss domestic events for their Fan Fest (which never got posted because they announced their split a day or two after I finished compiling it), I found that Milla has sisters that also skate competitively. And one of them was competing in her first Irish Nationals.

The Junior Ladies Silver Medallist, Eeva O'BRIEN (Wicklow), has switched from Switzerland to Ireland.

I don't know what the status currently is of the third sister, Kiira O'BRIEN.

I know I said this before when I first came across Milla, but I will say it again now about all three O'Brien girls. I love the way that their parents have given them Finnish first names to go with their Irish surname. It's a lovely way to honour their heritage from both countries.

Incidentally, Milla is still on Ice Partner Search. I hope she finds a partner soon. She is too good to be on the sidelines.

Josefin Taljegård has changed her club. I have difficulties to copy more by my cell phone now but she is going to train in Göteborg in the future. She told it on her ig account.
It´s a confirmation as well that she will continue for another season. it´s great to hear. This is going to make the qualifier in September even more interesting, and if she is able to qualify a spot, it would be interesting to know if SOC will actually send her. From my understanding her last ticket was based on promising athlete exception and I don´t think SOC will give it twice. Would be interesting to know if SOC has changed around with the impossible requirements.

Kovalevs are now working with Bruno Massot.

Further update on these two - It seems like they have decided to skate for Great Britain after all.
They have changed the bio of their team account and recently attended a British Ice Skating Ice Dance Camp:

This was posted on another thread as a team update, so I thought it should go in this thread as well :)

Sr Ice Dance - Dana Sabatini-Speciale/Daniel Kaye

South Africa 🇿🇦 ---> Great Britain 🇬🇧

Hanna Jakucs and Alessio Galli won't skate for the Netherlands any longer
