What do you guys think? Could Frolova realistically get the reserve spot? The way I see it for reserve spot:
Anybody
Anybody
Anybody
Adeliia
Sadkova/Anybody
Anybody/Sadkova
Nats more weighted? Unless a big gap, but there shouldn't be since Sadkova shouldn't podium if there was.
Adeliia
Gorbacheva/Muravieva
Probably? Almost no gap at Nationals, if one is clean and the other falls then it should go to the clean one.
Not Sadkova
Adeliia
Frolova/Akateva
Should be right?
Not Gorbacheva/Sadkova
Adeliia
Frolova/Akateva
Probably? If Gorbacheva loses it means she fell AKA unstable for Olys. Especially Akateva with clean 4T.
Gorbacheva
Did I miss any potentially interesting combinations?
P.S. I'm really glad Gummenik won I want him at Olympics!! He can at least medal and I think he would be super happy with that! I dont follow men's but I do know their personalities a bit and Gumennik is my favourite.
Sadkova is probably more stable than Gorbachova now, although both have improved in this aspect.
Sadkova has already grown in size compared to last year and her stability, skating, jumps have improved.
Alina has never really grown at all. At the Olympics she will be 18.5 years old. If she has some kind of growth spurt in the next 12 months (which is likely) then she'll probably lose her quads. I don't think she has the psychological stability either.
I understand though that they would be hedging their bets and spreading the risk among multiple coaching schools (especially with the worldwide and domestic agenda against Tutberidze).
I think Muraviova is a safer bet than Gorbachova, and hasn't been at competitions with Plushenko for a while (they are probably reluctant to send a skater from Plushenko's school because of politics). He effectively is not her primary coach. Muraviova has already grown and still has a triple axel. With Muraviova I think she can still get a silver or bronze skating without a 3A at all she has great skating skills, whereas I don't have the confidence in Sadkova and especially Gorbachova doing that.
I think Frolova would get similar scores to Petrokina at Europeans this year.

. Hopefully Sasha and Dima have a better skate today, they seem to have lost their harmony this season and that's putting it mildly.
