Obsessed with this dress! Jiaying has great extension on her jumps. I just don't think the conditioning is quite there this early in the season.

Another gorgeous dress! I love the music she's chosen. I think she has all of the pieces, but she just wasn't quite able to put them all together today. I love the choreo sequence hydroblade into spiral!

This dress from Mai is gorgeous! The flips and lutzes aren't 100% there yet, but the rest of the jumps look solid and confident.

I don't think I've sen Mai in all-black dress before, I almost didn't recognize her

She performed the program well but I wish she kept her Planets free skate from last season. This red violin one feels a bit generic to me and quite similar to her free skate from 2 seasons ago

Happy to see her did well though! And receiving so many stuffies

The costumes today have really been on point! Overall, a solid skate for Nini, but she really had to be super clean because her starting BV is so much lower. I like the program for her, and the costume is gorgeous!

Nini, she seemed more tense & focused on the jumps today, but she got everything done clean Again love her bidirectional spin.

And I'm glad she revived her Curse of Golden Flower program from early last season!

I also find it interesting that the judges are sitting in the corner here instead of in the middle of the long side of the rink. The camera crews got the best view now since skaters perform to the usual place of the judges

I wonder if this makes the skater nervous when they do a jump in that judges' corner though, since the judges will have a much better view of the jump

On one long side of the rink where the camera is, there’s no room for a table as it’s basically as wide as one or two person then you have the building floor to ceiling window/wall!

On the other long side, there’s already benches for spectators, so if they used that for judges there wouldn’t be anywhere for a table (unless they put it on top of the existing seats!)
