2024 CS Tallinn Trophy Free Dance

This is the dance that pushed me into Emily & Ian's camp. Watch how closely they track each other and how often the holds change and at great speed. Plus I love the music.

So, exceeding track limits has now reached figure skating. :rolleye:

If this was motorsport, they would either get a warning or a penalty (depending on the circumstances).

On top of all that, doing it where they did could be seen as trying to interfere with or threaten the officials. Which is a big no-no in any sport.

The ISU really needs to clamp down on skaters doing things like this in front of the officials before it goes any further.

And, yes, I'm looking at you Loena as the person to blame for all this!

Anyway, the Mrazeks went into the lead of both FD and overall.

Oh and they continue to get a bit better. Good for them.

Loving the Evgenia & Geoffrey have chosen such a different path for the others. I think it has upped their speed and game in a really good way plus it is interesting and different.

French Ice Dancers are never afraid to do something totally different to everybody else. Sometimes it makes you think "What on Earth am I watching?!" And other times it makes you think "Wow! This is so innovative!"

This was the good side of different.

I'm going to pre-empt things and say that they have won.

Phew. I was getting worried that I had maybe jumped the gun there.

Right, I'm leaving now to start catching up on the bikes.

I mightn't have got to Tallinn like I had hoped, but at least I still managed to watch every skater.

A very enjoyable week.

In the USA we call them Native Americans and list the name of the tribe. It is a bit different for Canada because tribes in lower Canada and those way northward in the Northwest Territories use the term Indiginous people - don't quote me on this but ask @4everchan or @saine to explain it. Me the half Canadian may not get all the terms correct.
We call them first nations here or "autochtones "

I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere in Canadian media, but have no idea where. It stuck in my mind because firefighting and ice dance seem such an odd and random combination.
yet frangi is a cop like all the italians LOL :) (including Marco) I know... but is there really a job that goes well with ice dance ? Patch was paying for his training helping in a mechanics shop... Yes...greasy hands :) cars... and ... samba !
