And Skater #2 is still in the lead! Her namesake that went after her only had one fall, but scored much lower in both TES and PCS.

Skater #10 has the same surname as the two skaters in the Cubs Men's FS last night that I reckoned were brothers. I have been trying to find out if she is related to them, but to no avail. However, I did notice that she had different people with her when getting her results to the boys. So, I suspect they are not related.

She went into 5th position.

During Group 2, we had the second set of consecutive skaters with the same name, in this case Zeynep.

Skater #10 was wearing a purply-white dress. I didn't know the music.

While waiting for her scores, another wee girl came in and gave her a hug, and waited around with her. They looked very alike, so I think they were sisters.

And then something happened that I haven't seen before. When she was waiting for her scores, Skater #10 took the opportunity to do some cooling down routine.

She went into 3rd position.

Skater #11 was wearing a white dress, and skating to "Dernière Danse" by Indila.

She went into 2nd, pushing her namesake down to 4th.

You know, it is lovely to see how generous the audience are giving gifts to the skaters. But, this is getting dangerous.

Skater #16 had a whole pile of cuddly toys thrown down to her. And she started gathering them up. One of the ones she picked up was massive, and when she was taking it and some others back, she couldn't see where she was going. And she stood on another cuddly toy that she hadn't picked up yet, and it was by sheer luck that she didn't go headlong.

Mind you, she deserved the recognition. She went into a massive lead of 7.30 points over the long-term leader, Skater #4.

I'm expecting a lot of deductions for Skater #18. She didn't even start her final element, a combination spin, until after the music had finished, and it continued for 18 seconds after that. And she had at least two falls, maybe three if the double hands down incident is classed as a fall, as well.

Yep. 2.50 points in deductions. But she still goes into 7th position.

🦂

But, it wasn't one of the Scorpions songs that we are used to hearing at skating competitions. It was "Winds Of Change". And it was beautiful.

And it has started me wondering why it does not get skated to more often. After all, it is the band's best known song.

Skater #4 goes into the lead. But not by much. Just 0.78 points over the guy that skated directly before him.

Two withdrawals from Group 2 - Skaters #10 and #12.

But because the interval between Groups 1 and 2 was extended in anticipation of there being skaters missing, we don't have to wait around. Straight onto Group 3.

CaroLiza_fan

Mmmm. Skater #16 had a hard fall early on, and judging by his expression, he hurt himself. He carried on for a bit, doing a slide and then attempting a jump, and when that didn't work, he went over to the officials. But they seem to have told him to carry on. So he did.

I've never seen that before. A skater requesting an interruption, and being refused. That's not right.

Late in the programme, he did a slide, and actually slid into the boards right under the officials. And it took ages for him to get himself up on his feet. It was taking so long that those officials sitting where he finished up had actually stood up to see if he was alright. And when he did get up, he just went into the middle of the rink and did his bows.

You could see how frustrated he was. And when he went into the results area, he was crying and grimmacing in pain.

He went into 14th and last position.

I take it that Skater #5, Gökçe Doğa SEZGI, and Skater #6, Duru ÇİMEN, are team-mates. Because when Sezgi was taking her bows, Çimen came over and gave her a big hug.

I just checked and not only are they team-mates, but they are local skaters!

Awww. When Çimen was waiting for her scores, Sezgi came in and joined her. There was another girl there in a tracksuit, and I suspect that may be Nehir ALAN, another team-mate who will be coming up in Group 2 (Skater #9).

Sezgi went into 3rd position, while Çimen went into 4th, with 3.37 points between them.

It wasn't. Because the girl in the tracksuit was back when Alan was getting her scores. She may be a team-mate that will be competing in the ISU part of the event later in the week, though.

Sezgi went into 3rd position, while Çimen went into 4th, with 3.37 points between them.

And Alan spits them! She goes into 5th position, 3.17 points behind Sezgi and points 0.20 ahead of Çimen.

I kinda hope nobody else infiltrates. Because it would be nice for the three team-mates from the local club to finish in consecutive positions.

They didn't. The three Izmir girls did finish 4th, 5th and 6th.

Now for the boy.

And that's a wrap for the non-ISU part of the event. Just in time for my evening feed.

Practices for the ISU part of the event will be held tomorrow, with the competitions commencing on Thursday.

Until then, güle güle.

CaroLiza_fan

I wasn't sure whether to class this as Day 3 or Day 4, but the stream says Day 3, so that's good enough for me!

Anyway, the first day of the ISU part of the event consists of an Advanced Novice quadruple-bill; followed by a Junior double-bill. The Advanced Novice quadruple-bill consists of a combined competition of 9 girls and 2 boys; followed by a resurfacing; followed by 3 Ice Dance partnerships doing both of their Pattern Dances.

And it begins with a combined competition for the Singles skaters. A group of 5 girls; followed by a group containing 4 girls and 2 boys.

Livestream for Advanced Novice Singles SP competitions is now on air.

I forgot to say, we have our first international skaters of the week in this Advanced Novice Singles SP. Each group features one Kazakh girl.

And then the Advanced Novice Ice Dance is a completely international category.

The first Kazakh girl, Aiym TEMIRKHAN, just skated. And although she has gone into 2nd and last position, she is only 0.11 points behind the Turkish girl that went before her, Elif UGURAL, who is two years older than her.

Oh, and Elif is the latest skater that I have found out shares a birthday with me!

CaroLiza_fan

Straight onto the boys

By the way, in case you are wondering, the other Kazakh girl, Irina PAVLENKO, finished in 6th position, directly behind her younger team-mate, Aiym TEMIRKHAN. Irina was only 0.06 points behind Aiym! 😲

Which means that the three skaters from 4th to 6th were covered by just 0.17 points! :drama:

The third partnership, Laura BALCERSKA / Borys MAKOWSKI (POL), have withdrawn. So, we go straight onto Pattern Dance 2.

I was pausing the stream and popping out between partnerships to make toast, so I made up a bit of the time there.

We now move onto the Junior Singles categories. 28 girls; followed by 7 boys. The girls are arranged into two groups of 5; followed by a group of 6; followed by a resurfacing and dinner break; followed by two groups of 6.
