Apologies for spamming, but UPDATE (I think) - a section dedicated for Thursday official practice ticket appeared on lippu.fi. So my uneducated (but hopeful) guess is that each day ticket will allow to attend practices before competition aside of the competition itself.

BTW and thanks in advance for anyone willing to educate me: what is the new rule about galas/exhibitions? Is there now a choice from organisers' standpoint whether to have gala or not and previously it was mandatory?
This was the exact message I received concerning the galas: "The omission of the gala is related to the development of the ISU GP product. Some countries will skip it already this year and some next season." According to my interpretation it means that in the future there will be no GP galas unfortunately.

ISU works hard to kill the sport, doesn't it? Less to watch - less audience - less money - less interest - less skaters. Edit: It would be interesting to know how skaters feel about it. If they think it takes too much energy and time, then I understand the decision.

I think Finland's fed has sold separate practice tickets before for those who have not had all-event-ones. We will see tomorrow if there is only possibility to buy separate ones.

Well I at least the the journey from the stations from both Helsinki main station and Pasila station to the Helsinki ice rink is possible to walk (about 2 km) so there would be a little bit money save in that. There is a hotel also in Pasila. I have walked both last time GP was at that rink. But I must make decision buy ticket early, I liked my seat last time and I would like to be at the same area.

Whoa, imagine deciding not to have a gala when you have Kazuki Tomono in the lineup... What a waste 🤦‍♀️
And imagine being assigned to two GP, neither of which happens to have gala... Like Sota, who has GP Canada and Finland 😢 He's always been picked for galas in his GP, even when he placed 6th. Sadly, he won't have an opportunity to show his MJ gala on the GP circuit this time. Same for JunHwan Cha, Rino Matsuike and Hana Yoshida, who also have the misfortune to be assigned to both gala-less GPs. For shame. JunHwan is the luckiest of these - as Korea's #1, he is sure to show his gala at both at 4CC and WC, if he gets picked. The other three would have to work hard in tough fields to get an opportunity to show their galas in front of international audience. This sucks. I'd much rather have galas without those special light effects and shorter, than no galas at all.

It's stupid not to have galas. What draws people to watch figure skating if they don't know much about the sport/don't care about competitions? I think it's stuff like ice shows and galas. My boyfriend doesn't care about the sport at all but he went to the Varese show with me and he will also come to the Nebelhorn gala.

Schedule has been changed.

Ticket sales starts tomorrow at lippu.fi. The fed is advertising early bird tickets at a reduced price. Three-days event with not-so-many skaters and all the extra costs, I think it is too much for me. Edit: Also some other, at least SCI seems, to have about similar schedule, no gala but competitions on Sunday.

I like this new schedule better, at least Sunday is not empty if we have to stay one day longer and Friday leaves room for sightseeing and Saturday for dinner. Now I just hope the ticket prices are fairly reasonable when they come out tomorrow.

Early bird prices are so much cheaper what we have used to pay before at Finland's GP to I may change my mind. The prices are in craft until 14th October. I have an option if I could stay at my brothers house, it is not so far from Helsinki. I hate going there at night but when it is not so late, it is not so bad. Does upper tribunes (yläkatsomo in Finnish) mean balcony?

Gosh, thank you so so much for the link with prices (plus there is seating chart included there)!! You are a lifesaver because I could not find this.
Plus yes, prices are much cheaper than I prepared myself for...now only to secure end of row seat somewhere:laugh:

My, my, those prices are really hard to say no to. I think I paid like 100 Eur per person more last year and was preparing myself for the same this year. That makes up for the one night longer hotel stay. I'm almost sure we are going, the only one who can stop me now is my boss. :p

2022 all event lower seats was 300+ euros I think. My boss already promised before I can take days off if I want to.

Janna and Olivia are still not on the entry list. I wonder why not. The fed has not yet announced them, I think, but what are they waiting for? China's host spot skaters are listed.

Got tickets. Now flights and making gifts.
One question, maybe someone will know...Is there any chance those greyed out first 6 rows or so in section C will get open for public or these will be reserved for officials, media etc? Just curious.

I think there are some seats reserved for skaters and coaches if they want to go to watch other dsciplines, some for media and some are not available because there will be cameras in front of the seats.

I stopped thinking back and forth and bought the tickets, same place for every day. After learning to lesson last year to get sick just at the morning of the travelling day I bought also canceling security. The unexpected low prices helped the decision and we looked our deadlines at work, this is good time to have some holidays I have still on my "working hours bank" so where ever I decide to stay, I will be during whole event. See you there, everybody who want to meet.
