West Japan Middle & Elementary School Student Competition starts tomorrow (for me) and I haven't even looked at entries yet :drama:

So I'm just going to quickly post Kanto Summer Trophy, Senior and Junior final results from the scaled down FS lists
and final results for Iizuka Cup Senior events (Junior results previously posted)

I'll also make a separate post to share just a few videos from these two competitions

Junior Ice Dance FD (Debut exhibition)
Ayumi Shibayama / Tomoki Kimura (AyuTomo)
Absolutely gagging at these junior ice dance babies and wondering where did they pop out from??! Better dance holds than most senior teams by a stretch. I love how exciting Japanese ice dance is getting!

Both Ayumi and Tomoki are very new to Ice Dance.
Tomoki was a Singles skater based in Tokyo and only started actively searching for a Dance partner at the end of last season.
Unsure when and how Ayumi's decision to try Dance came about but Tomoki's move to Kinoshita Academy this summer was an indication that he would be partnering with one of the Club's current trainees.
Cathy Reed works closely with the Kinoshita skaters and will likely be their primary ID coach.
Tomoki says he will focus his training on Ice Dance whereas Ayumi has decided to continue competing in Singles while training ID.

BTW, have you seen any programs by Jr Dance team Sumire Yoshida / Ibuki Ogahara?
They've been coached by Cathy since...what seems like forever!
Sumire is FINALLY Junior age eligible and the team will make their international debut at JGP Riga Cup.
Fans have been watching these two for years, compete and grow up together, so there's tons of excitement around their long awaited JGP debut~

Thank you so much tsuyoboogie, I had a fantastic time watching the videos (not all of them yet).

Some random thoughts :

Hanano Suzuki has grown a lot. I respect how she dances to the music even when her jumps are not going well. I'm happy that she did better in the FS, which I really loved.

Kei Yamada is another skater who looks like she has grown considerably since last season, but her jumps still look solid enough, and that's really promising. I think if she gets a chance to compete internationally, she might do well and receive more attention.

Mone Chiba's programs fit her like a glove, especially her SP. She looks so confident.

I am absolutely in love with Rion Sumiyoshi's SP.💓💓💓💓💓💓💓

Hana Yoshida looks solid. I'm fond of her SP.

I adored Ami Nakai's SP, she performed the hell out of it. Her FS is lovely too. Is it me or do her spins look faster than before?

Mayuko Oka looks smoother and more polished than before. I'm looking forward to see her grow.

Maria Egawa is a gorgeous skater. Not all skaters manage to shine with Turandot, but she does. I want her to get an international assignment so badly.

Soshi Tanaka (Mone's previous coach) appeared in the KnC with one of the Grand Prix Tokai NvB Girls (Yamada-sensei was already sitting with her and told him to come in for a photo).
Thought this might be an former student of his or maybe even a relative however, he was also seen at the boards with Yamada towards the end of the event
Did he train with Yamada-sensei in the past? Is he assisting as a coach? So curious~

Also, why am I up right now? I'm supposed to sleep during NvB events since I need to go to work right after the NvA Boys :palmf:

I don't know where I read it, but if I'm not mistaken, he's GP Tokai's new jump coach.
