This is by far the most I've connected to Chaeyeon's skating. I really like this program choice for her, and her choreographer has done a great job disguising some of her landing position issues with difficult transitions out instead of a held free leg. I do wish she was performing more, but overall this was a great start to the season for her and she looks so confident!

Oh for crying out loud I was enjoying the program before she had to pull up her leg right in front of the judges...

Indeed, that kind of surprised me because Chaeyeon's jumps weren't particularly clean looking either....but the 3Lz was clearly under and Chaeyeon's jumps more on the q so fair enough...

Shame about the step-out, but much better than at last season's Shanghai Trophy. Her Lutz had so much spring, and she is always lovely to watch.
