2024 Skate Milwaukee will be hosting the 2024 U.S. Junior Team Cup event July 8-12, 2024, at the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee, Wis.

Natasha Hewitt is in 4th place after the SP. She attempted a 3T 3T. She fell in her 2A. I doubt she will be chosen to our Canadian NextGen competition, later this month.

The entries for Junior Cup have been released

Rooting for Jacob Sanchez. In the girls division, I’m rooting for Logan and Kiera
Other contenders:
Josephine - Silver medalist at Nationals
Mia - What quads/3A will she attempt

This should be an interesting competition.

Looking at her page on SkatingScores, last season was the first time she qualified for Nationals. That's likely her goal again this season, I don't think she was in consideration for NextGen based on her past placements.

Looking at her page on SkatingScores, last season was the first time she qualified for Nationals. That's likely her goal again this season, I don't think she was in consideration for NextGen based on her past placements.

Yes. She finished 11th at Challenger and then 14th at Junior Nationals.
At Next Gen, they invited 15 girls last year. There are probably 3 Senior girls plus top 9ish from Juniors plus top 3 from Novice will probably be invited for this upcoming Next Gen session. She was in the bubble and was probably hoping for a good result here, to be possibly selected.

I’m glad he went for it. But, he needs to master the other triple jumps first…

But, glad to see we have another one of our junior boys going for this 3A.

Sherry Zhang, perhaps the US’s best junior last season, isn’t entered in the Junior Cup. Is this event mandatory to get a JGP? I would hope not, as it’s really just a random point in the summer, and if she can be ready for a JGP, she deserves consideration as much as the rest of this field.

Sherry already competed once this season with new programs, so her missing from this competition is worrying for a completely different reason.

She's been absent from her coaching team's IG page since Nationals and her coaches are there with some of their other students.
