Happy for Grayson; sad for Canada. Keegan can't jump any more or at least now.Grayson wins a medal at Ice Challenge. Added to the list of Canadian skaters winning medals internationally before winning their a medal at their own senior nationals.
I think you're right, and that's not a negative towards Keegan. He should have come back a year before!Keegan can obviously jump and I am sure his jumps are there in practice. It's another ballgame to land those within a program at a competition.
I find it strange that anyone would expect him to be at this peak form after such a long hiatus. The reality is that he came back too late and now he has to skate at Challenge and Nationals with very little international experience. I think the writing Is on the wall already : he will not be chosen for the Olympic Games because Stephen and Roman have been doing relatively well and are in better shape than he is.
I am grateful for his return. If anything, it fired up the other boysI think you're right, and that's not a negative towards Keegan. He should have come back a year before!

He's almost 34 and skating against guys over a decade younger then him.I was really hoping Keegan would pull it together. What's going on. Why can't he jump even triples are hard. And I know it seems crazy but Gabby has to be considered.

I also think it's the end for Keegan indeed. I mean, he will most likely compete at Challenge/Nationals... but there is no way, even with winning Nationals, that Skate Canada could send him based on his lone international assignment, where he lost to a junior Canadian skater. It's sad but he needed to come back earlier, grab his "comeback skater" GPs , etc... His return for me looks like an afterthought. .. and not something well planned. It is unfortunate of course and I hope he will perform well at Nationals. So is this the end for Keegan? If he’s not assigned to golden spin, what’s left? Even if he wins nationals, skate Canada has no justification for sending him to the Olympics with one international tournament in over 3 years and seasons best of 218. I just don’t see where this could go.
He can do his best and still get a 4CC spot. But, it won’t be easy as Wesley Chiu looked better than Keegan at SectionalsI also think it's the end for Keegan indeed. Why would they want to retire with a Workd bronze medal when they’re already World champions?Kind of a foolish move. The way things are going they will not win an olympic medal. Good chance theJapanese and Chinese will not go to worlds so they could maybe sneak on the podium for bronze ala Radford and James and retire.
