2025-2026 Canadian Figure Skating

My heart is broken. I want Piper and Paul to win gold or at least medal. life isn't fair. They kind of were unluky in not going to an olympics. They have been close to gold at worlds then disaster. They have hadgreat season startsand somehow it fizzles. They are my faves in my heart but they look tired - like rant out of ideas anddrive granted Chock and bates lok tired too but they have the us fed behind them and IAM I fear they will be fourth. The French and CB will go for gold and silver andthe lucky and pesky brits will get bronze. they need to dig deep/They need to get thedrive the fire and rework the fd or get rid odf it and polish thatRD and add speed crispness and zoom.

Nope Not a chance sadly. if Psquared get fourth at the olympics this team will beat the Lithuanians and ZK. I am not sure how the us does it but they seem to always get a 2nd us team push and since CP probably can't go to the olympics you can see the push for ZK. Its been a while when Canada has not won a oly medal.
CPom can go to the Olympics.

Regarding Piper and Paul... It's a bit early to write them off. If you love them with all your heart, then try to be hopeful and less negative. It may be an easier road for you. :). (just my opinion)

But his new partner is the one in the white sweater, second photo. She is not tagged and she is definitely not Coralie. But them training in Canada makes me think they are representing Canada, not France, since they aren't trying to fulfill the residency requirement for citizenship.
I just realized it was the second photo LOL

American born in Hawaii. She did do JGP as a singles skater but recently was doing pairs
Hmm 🤔
PB score in Pairs in the 130s

Novice Bronze medalist in USA. So, she has jumping potential.

Not sure what to think. I hope she moves to represent Canada. I was hoping for a Quebec junior girl and was watching the junior competition trying to match the athletes to the half photo.

I just saw the age…… 23!!!!
So, this means Charly would be automatically done skating in Juniors.

I’m nervous for this partnership 🙅🙅🏽‍♂️
😭 😭
yes. Charly is only 20 and had a couple more years in the junior ranks.. but then, as a worlds medallist, maybe he doesn't care moving to seniors right away.

Seniors is a huge jump though…..
Well, I wish them all the best
Too much competition in Senior Pairs

I am not too worried. Announcing a new pairs team is one thing... taking that team to competition readiness is another...

Question on Minsol Kwon's status
I understand that Minsol Kwon can compete domestically in Skate Canada qualifying competitions after qualifying as a non-Cdn citizen and getting a "release" from Korea (I don't understand this "domestic" release part). WRT competing internationally, I know she must be granted permission from the ISU under Rule 109. Has Korea done its part and given her permit which can't be reasonably denied if she has not competed for Korea in 12 months (which she hasn't)? Or has Korea given her the permit and she is working on qualifying for Canada under Rule 109? Again - I don't get the domestic versus international "permit" from Korea. Isn't there just one type?

Best of luck to her and all Challenge competitors today. Yesterday's singles competitions were amazing!

What I understood is that the release wasn't granted yet from Korea. So she could for now, only compete domestically. So, it would mean that she did ask to represent Canada, and Canada has accepted her in their domestic events. Korea will do their part otherwise I am bringing back Lim/Quan.
