2025 Canadian Nationals: General Info and pre-game chat

No injury from what I can see. Joanne McLeod posted a pre-Nationals post for her on Instagram a day ago:



I think it's a case of Senior Women being hard to predict since it should be more competitive this year. Even after increasing the number of women with Senior minimums, someone without Senior minimums won Challenge again. I'd have her in the top 5 if I played, but I have no idea where she'd place.

Yes it is difficult to predict. I could have done with being allowed a top 6! Really struggled to decide between Fee-Ann, Kaiya and Sara-Maude Dupuis.

I just asked Skate Canada and they said you can attend the practices on the days you have tickets! And the practice rink is right next to Place Bell!

Uliana to me, is a sure top 5. She is so consistent, always scoring 160+

Kaiya, I think will peak again, like she always does at Nationals

I’m still deciding whether or not to watch a bit LIVE at work OR if I should just wait till I get home and then peacefully catch up, on my own time???

I checked Instagram and there was a video showing highlights from today’s practice. I lost the link.
But, Lia Cho practice wearing a pink outfit. She landed a beautiful 3F
Also, David Howes was practicing earlier in the boys practice.
Those are my two favourite juniors in each of these disciplines. So, I can relax knowing they are there, on the ice already.

Tmrw, I’m clearly rooting for three David’s and the three podium girls from Novice Nationals last year (Lia, Sandrine, Ksenia).

I am going to miss both wednesday and thursday live streaming but I freed my schedule entirely for Friday saturday sunday and will be at the rink.
I just cannot wait.

No. This video is new to me. Lia is practicing in this video beside the ice rink. I also see some other athletes there. I like watching how athletes practice. Wish they could livestream the practices.

Nice!! Me too!! I have decided to wait till I get home from work. So, I can enjoy listening to the commentary. I just hope the ads aren’t too bad. When I watch from work, I miss a lot of details as I’m interrupted throughout the day.

The only way I can replicate what is happening to you is to hit "Post reply" with just the quoted post, then type in my reply, then hit "Post reply" a second time.

To watch this on the Roku TV you go to the CBC Gem app and register then you go to live section then go to bottom section where it says Sports then you click on the sports icon

For Samsung TV you use the Google function.

The Third Way is to scan it use the scan button from your smartphone to your TV.
