2025 Canadian Nationals: General Info and pre-game chat

Wesley is not on the skate picks but some who did their predictions early still have him in their choices.

oups.. you had beaten me to it ;)
Thanks for the quick two responses. I guess Wesley could rest and then still compete at 4CC.

Does Stephen also have this similar opportunity? OR is he out of the running for pulling out early?

Matthew Newman finished 4th at Challenger with 198. He is capable of scoring similar to what Wesley has scored this season, so far.

My guess is no. He's been dealing with the same injury that took him out of Nationals last season, so I don't think he'd be in the running for that reason.
Also, is there a chance they can send Anthony Paradis, Grayson Long or David Bodnar? 🤔
These are the three boys in the running for a Junior Worlds spot.
Entries for 4CC are due January 22, so it's too late for them to get the minimums. Grayson isn't eligible this season since he turned 17 in October. David's stayed Junior this season domestically so he doesn't have a Senior version of his free. I think they'll get a chance for the Senior minimums next season and should be in the mix next season.

Wonder - with Stephen and Wesley out does this make things easier for Roman. He usually falters under pressure so now there is less (if any) pressure on him. Does he also consider downgrading his content to insure clean skates. Cause with less content and 2 clean skates he could still win.

Thank you 4everchan! I edited my picks now. Since I am a new member, I am wondering if I am replying right properly to you. I am just hitting reply after I read your message. Please let me know, if I am not doing it right.

Hit reply, then go down to the box underneath the posts (the one with the "Post reply" button). Type in your reply text, then hit "Post reply". The system will put in the quoted post you are replying to, the actual reply text is up to you!

But it didn't work. You didn't get the quoted message and the reply in the same post. And I don't know why.
The only way I can replicate what is happening to you is to hit "Post reply" with just the quoted post, then type in my reply, then hit "Post reply" a second time.

If that's what you're doing, you should only hit "Post reply" once, after you type in your reply.

I was going to suggest that reason. I've more than once accidentally or absent-mindedly hit Post Reply before I started typing and that's the result. :slink:
