2025 CS Cranberry Cup Senior Men Short Program

well i missed jimmy and i have no idea what witchdoctor is but i am sure it's not something that can be matched with firebird... firebird is perfectly fine on its own... ugh... why do skaters do this.
I love Jimmy's creativity with music. It's one of the reasons I first noticed him. The Clare de Lune dubstep was amazing.

Hated the Clair de lune dubstep ;) I like Jimmy but yeah.. not the mismatching of classical masterpieces and pop music... Sorry... it's like eating an amazing filet mignon with left over mashed potatoes.

I no longer have Peacock and was pleased to see this event posted on YouTube. It's nice to see new programs and form our own impressions without the distraction of annoying commentators.

I was a bit surprised at the placement of the top 2. Jimmy's program is creative and I don't mind the music changes, although it looked rushed and sloppy in places. Jacob skated clean and was smooth and elegant. The scores are very close, so the LP should be exciting!

After viewing the protocols, I have no complaints, insofar as the points go.

Both Jimmy and Jacob have some work to do on spins and steps. Too many L3 on the sheet.

I get that the mashup is Jimmy's trademark, but watching it, I was disappointed when Firebird stopped and the other began. I hope he reconsiders.

I'm fine with the placements, but I preferred Selevko to either Jimmy or Jacob today. His program really maintained my interest. The Firebird section of Jimmy's caught my eye, too. That was strong and engaging.

And speaking of the protocols.... Jacob won 4-2 on judges ordinals over Jimmy, with Selevko taking one. That's not unreasonable... but the placements as a whole are a mess. I think it speaks more about the overall messiness of the event than any judging bias.

But still... Jacob wins four judges, and finishes fifth with two? Head scratcher.

Interesting about the placements. I had wondered if it was a bit of a "wait your turn" hint to Jacob since he is a new senior and Jimmy may retire at the end of the season. I was also disappointed when Firebird stopped but liked Jimmy's energy and passion. His program should grow and improve.

No "r word" when speaking of my fiance please.

well.. this why ordinals don't tell much in IJS averaging the scores.... when the scores are extremely close like it is the case here, it's not infrequent to have judges ordinals all over the place... :)
