2025 European Youth Olympic Festival | Feb 9-16

Just to let you know, this is a really weird website that the entries, livescoring, etc. is on.

For a start, you can't actually click into the pages for each segment until the starting order has been determined.

The thing that is really annoying me, though, is that there are Time Schedule PDF's for the segments, but they don't seem to have an address that can be linked to. They just sort of appear hovering on the Reports page. As a result, I am not able to provide direct links to them in this thread.

So, sorry about that, but it is beyond my control.

Oh drat. I forgot this was in Georgia. For some reason, I had it in my head that it was in Italy. :drama:

So, this is actually Group 5 starting now. Not Group 1. :palmf: :slink:

Well, at least this is a stream that you can wind back. Unlike the one for the Asian Winter Games. But, I'm going to watch LIVE from here.

Sorry about that.

CaroLiza_fan

Wow! Just wow!

Wow to the cheers from the audience when Inga was introduced.

Wow to Inga's skating.

Wow to the audience chanting Inga's name after she finished.

Wow to the cheers and the chanting from the audience when Inga went into 2nd position.

And finally wow to how miserable Inga and her coach looked!

What was going on with the audio during the programme of the final skater, Liv Ella CANDLER (BIH)?!

She seemed to be skating to a Puddycat Dolls medley consisting of "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" and "Sway". But, during the first song, it kept cutting away to what I assume was backstage sound. And then for a large part of the middle and second half of the programme, it was cutting between this and the music that gets played during the replays. It was only towards the end that we heard some of her music and realised that the song had changed.

I think this is her first competition outside of Bosnia. So, such a shame that this has happened to her.

I love the way she shrugged her shoulders when the scores were announced. And then put her arms up in the air. Looks like she's got a good sense of humour.

And that's it for the girls for today. Back in 50 minutes for the boys.

CaroLiza_fan

Sorry, I switched the computer back on a bit later than I should have, and then when I got everything open I found a PM that I needed to reply to.

The first of the boys has just started.

CaroLiza_fan

Oh, my post from an hour ago didn't post. Well, here is what I wrote:

And now that we have reached the end of the Group 4 Warm-Up, I am afraid that it is time for me to leave for food. But, I will pause the stream, and play catch-up after eating.

All the best to those still to skate.

CaroLiza_fan

And now to bring you up to date, I won't make that mistake again!

As soon as I unplugged the laptop to take it into the kitchen to watch something else over tea-time, the stream crashed. And now that it has stopped broadcasting, it doesn't work. And there is no sign of it in the archives yet.

Hopefully the coverage will get archived soon.

CaroLiza_fan

Why is it not archived yet ;-; I didn't finish watching

It looks like they're not archiving the livestreams. Instead, they are cutting videos of the indvidual programmes. Here is where the videos are being uploaded:

https://eoctv.org/container/eyof/bakuriani-2025/figure-skating/

So far, they have only uploaded the videos from the Junior Men's SP. There is no sign of the videos from the Junior Ladies SP that was held before it.

The videos are listed alphabetically by country, not by skate order. Annoyingly, the titles of the videos only tell you the country the skater is representing. They don't mention the name of the skater.

The organisers are making a right dog's dinner of everything.

CaroLiza_fan

Day 2 of the EYOF consists of the girls completing their campaign.

Livestream for the Junior Ladies FS is now on air.

Here is the link for today's livestream (same as yesterday - the streams are not getting acrchived):

You can find most of the other links you may need in the OP of this thread.

For the Time Schedule PDF, go to the following page and then click on the appropriate "Start List" link:

Hope this helps

:cheer: ALL THE BEST EVERYBODY!!! :cheer:

We start the Free Skate segment with the skater that finished off the Short Programme segment!

Now this is different. We begin with an "Aladdin" programme where the skater is not dressed in something reminiscent of Princess Jasmine's sky bue dress.

Liv Ella CANDLER (BIH) is instead wearing a purple dress with silver pattern. And it looks beautiful.

The music consised of an instrumental of "Arabian Nights", followed by what sounded like traditional drumming.

Yes, I enjoyed that. A good start to the day.

I don't know who that is sitting with her, but she looks far too young to be a coach. Maybe a team-mate.

CaroLiza_fan

What a strange cover of "It's A Man's Man's Man's World" that Sofi KARAPETYAN (ARM) is skating to.

I like the versions that normally get skated to, but I hated this version by Jurnee Smollett-Bell and Harley Quinn.

Beautiful burgandy dress, though.

Skating not bad either.

She goes into 2nd position.

CaroLiza_fan

Sorry Sædís Heba GUÐMUNDSDÓTTIR (ISL), but that dress doesn't suit you. It is far too pale for somebody with your blonde hair and pale skin tone.

For an Ancient Egyptian programme, I would have thought something more colourful would have worked better.

And when she put on her team jacket, it proved my point. Darker colours suit her much better.

Skating was good.

She goes into 3rd position.

It is time for the girl representing my island.

☘️ ALL THE BEST ALLIE!!! ☘️

CaroLiza_fan

Although I missed her SP yesterday, I had seen it during her Junior GP. But I wasn't sure if I had seen her FS before.

When I saw her dress, that confirmed that I hadn't. Because I would have remembered it.

Suffice to say, there is not much of it! It's more like a white bra with sleeves, and a grey skirt.

I'm in two minds about the music. It is a beautiful tune, but the vocals spoiled it for me.

She had a couple of issues, including a dodgy landing and a fall. But otherwise, it was good.

Don't know who the guy sitting with her is, but they are having great craic chatting away and messing about.

We have a new leader going into the interval.

:cheer: WELL DONE ALLIE!!! :cheer:

CaroLiza_Fan

They're playing Ville Valo and Natalia Avelon's cover of "Summer Wine" in the arena while Ninon DAPOIGNY (FRA) is waiting for her scores.

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

Boys but I love their version of that song. And I have long wanted to see somebody skate to it.

CarroLiza_fan

You know, in all my years watching figure skating, I can't remember ever seeing a "Little Mermaid" programme before.

And then I checked, and found this from November:

A "Little Mermaid" programme :cheer:

With dialogue.

Ula ZADNIKAR (SVN) was wearing a dress that actually did a good impression of fish scales.

The funny thing is that when I was looking up skater #5 Anhelina MIAKTOVA (UKR) earlier to check if she was based in Croatia, I saw a photo of her on the rocks dressed as a mermaid.

But, that is getting off topic.

Ula goes into the lead of both FS and overall.

CaroLiza_fan

Not only had I seen a "Little Mermaid" programme before, but I had seen THIS "Little Mermaid" programme before! :palmf: :slink:

Ula ZADNIKAR (SVN) takes the lead away from Allie PETERSON (IRL).

Yet she looks like she is going to cry!

CaroLiza_fan

When I saw Olivia LENGYELOVA (SVK) in her black dress, I would never have imagined that she would be doing a "Lion King" programme.

Beautiful outfit, and beautiful music.

Unfortunately, she had a lot of issues. But, when done clean, this will be a beautiful programme.

I really like the Lengyelova sisters.

Awww, she has a puppet with her. I wonder if it is a puppet that she has brought along herself rather than a gift that has just been thrown down to her. Because she looks very expert in using it.

New leader.

CaroLiza_fan

You know, I didn't notice until there now. But of the last 4 skaters of the previous group and the first 4 skaters in this group are covered by just 2.58 points.

So, there is room for a lot of movement.

And now we have the second of the two skaters from the British Isles. The first one climbed up a number of positions, so hopefully the second will too!

:cheer: ALL THE BEST LEILAH!!! :cheer:
