2025 GP Finlandia Trophy: General Info and Pregame Chat

It is official now, the fed has confirmed the competition is two days. It means I will also go.

Note you who have in Scandic hotels previous years: Breakfast is not included to room prizes any more but you can buy it separate. I am not sure about other, but it has changed in some others too.

I was suprised how many tickets were already sold. Maybe there will be bigger groups from Japan? Anybody from Japan to confirm that? I think there is already sold more than last year all together. I was hoping to get the similar place at C5 because I liked the seat, but no way, whole sector was sold out when I was able to buy my tickets. At least I got same seat for both days. But train tickets bought, hotel reservation done and event tickets bought, so see you there all who want to see.

I did not check earlier, but were there not upper stand seats available at all, or was those sold out just in few hours? I think there was price for them also.

I would be curious about the Japanese fans too, because it was my first thought. I managed to grab places in A5 for Friday, we were there last year and it was a good place for us. But for Saturday no chance, so I got some seats in A6 instead.

I can be wrong here, so don't take my thoughts too seriously, but - certain sections could possibly go on sale on 25th September, the main one (not going to lie, I was set on seat bordering KnC from the left, but those 4 rows were in grey, similarly to 3 rows closest to the ice in B3 on the left side, maybe these were somewhat reserved in advance though...)

Probably you are right. Probably some groups, companies or something like that have reserved certain amount of seats and after they have got final reservation, they announce the final amount of tickets they want to buy. After that some seats will be reopened for sale.

Finnish annoucement https://www.finlandiatrophy.com/fi/liput/ is a bit different than English one. There is the explanation, early birds tickets are not available to the upper stand. I understand it, they will open it for sale after they have seen how lower stand tickets will be sold, and decide after it how many sections there will open. Earlier there were early bird prices told also to upper stand, but it has been
removed.

C4 is for special quests, F2 for atheletes and D1 for media.

I was in section D3 last year - it was next to the KnC (on the right) and a good place to sit if you had some home-made flower crowns to pass to skaters! :) there are still one or two seats free right next to the KnC on that side.

Yes, that was (is?) the plan for this year (trying to be smarter than last year), but - comparing this year's layout of D section to what I can see at last year's videos, it seems like KnC was moved further to the left (I.e. towards D1/media sector), at least that is kind of my assumption because last year KnC looked to be constructed partially using staircase down to the ice/lower seats in D3, this year the staircase looks unobstructed on both sides (seats visible/singled out), with right side (looking at the seating plan) being greyed out in first 4 rows which I had my eyes on
I suspect these might be open for higher price starting 25th Sep, but if D3 staircase down will be accessible, I will be probably good to throw the whole circus I plan to travel with (I have plans beyond flower crowns) :)
We shall see!
