2025 Grand Prix: General Info and Substitutions

Turkkia and Versluis have withdrawn from the Finlandia Trophy.

I think Pate and Bye are top of the sub list but there are 3 US teams..so Bekker and Hernandez are next?

Finland has also one more pair (but not very high level), but there is a possibility that home spot is used. Edit: Isu names the replacement.

Here is an article about T/V's WD in Finnish. Summary: He has recovered, but his ankle muscle strength is not yet enough for a competition. They train already on ice and will start their season in Nationals, in the middle of December.

That's what the article says, but it may not be accurate. Before the "take the top of the replacement list" rule, it was the host federation who did the naming. With host spot replacements, it may still be the host. Do you know if the possible Finnish replacements have the minimums for a host spot? I know there is one, different from the criteria for "regular" spots, but no idea what it is.

"In order for a skater/couple to be eligible to compete at an ISU Grand Prix event, a minimum total score must have been achieved in the 2023/24 or current 2024/25 season in an ISU event (Grand Prix, Junior Grand Prix, Championships) or a Challenger Series event. Exceptions apply to host country skaters, previously ranked skaters or split ranked couples who return with new partners."

Edit: ISU's minimum is 133,24 and their unofficial SB is 136,64 (skated just some days ago) and official 131,15.

Samodelkina got the invite to Finlandia Trophy and is waiting for the visa to come through...

According to another site...Samodelkina got the invite to Finlandia Trophy and is waiting for the visa to come through...
That is unacceptable to me.

It gives such an advantage to someone on the replacement list who is injured.

Two requests Can someone post a list of all of the skaters in each discipline who have now qualified for the GPF?

I can't get the song out of my head - you know, the one they play during the victory laps. It's SO catchy & it makes me feel so joyful. Would someone post a link to it here? I want to bookmark it :thank: in advance.
