2025 IceChallenge | Nov 5-9

The FS has been Liu/Bedards weakness this year. Aside from fall on throw and a planned double single axel combo, pretty good

I'm actually so surprised at how well Chelsea and Ryan are doing, I did not think they'd be as great a match as they are when this team was announced.
I prefer their Short (Hozier vs. at this point overused "Two men in love" and they tend to skate it more cleanly), but this was still a very good skate.

im not sure, i looked away and when i looked back Audrey was upset so I thought she got hurt during the program
I actually was wondering if she had blood/bruises on her face because there were some dark blotches that didn't seem like make-up but probably not, considering nobody seemed concerned. 🤷‍♀️🙈

I thought she was just overwhelmed because this is the best they've skated, and the tech minimums stuff had to be getting to them.
oh nice, I thought so when Meagan pointed to the score and said see, I didn't check if they got the mins, im assuming so

that planned sequence is not a good plan :) all of it is about the same BV as just doing a double axel on its own.
Doing just the 2A would mean a +REP, though. They tried to upgrade the 1As to doubles at Tayside, so the goal is probably to slowly add to that combination and end up with a 3T+2A+2A eventually, if Chelsea is able to do that..

They've been shy of world minimums. They've had 4CC/Olympics since last year.
okay... honestly, that decision will always be contested but now, knowing they didn't have world minimums... even more so.

I mean, worlds minimums are an indicator of what teams need to get in there... I know 4cc/olympics are lower but less teams are admitted ... so in that sense, a team without world minimums, should not be chosen if other teams have them...

anyways... dead horse... but as I didn't know that they didn't have their scores.. I am even more troubled.

I didn't mean they should just do just a 2a :)

By the way, I do wonder how the USFS will handle the SkAm spot now - Shin/Nagy have it, but they were beaten by Liu/Bedard here and Chan/Howe are definitely within reach of beating both scores put up here too (and they still don't have a second assignment...).

Yeah.. its tough, but I don't know this close to skate america if they would take it away, S/N have improved each competition though which is good to see
