What a short program from Rio! Those were some of the best quads I've seen him do, the sal was maybe a bit tight but that's being really picky. I really enjoy this program, I love his energy in the steps. He is on a revenge tour after that loss at the GP Final!
I thought he had a nosebleed during that program, I saw him wiping his nose during the program and that would explain why he was a little more reserved with the performance. He's holding tissues in the k&c so I'm guessing I was right. Kudos to him for landing two quads with a blood nose!

I don't know how landed some of those jumps, great save on the axel. Lost some levels but overall great success for him with landing both quads in SP. He's senior ready.

Nozomu's skating quality has improved a lot this season, getting his choreo from Lori was a great choice. It's a shame the jumps were a bit tight, I'm guessing we're starting to see the Olympic season pressure creep in on these guys.

very fair score reflecting the 3A step out, won't be beaten today but will also keep him close if others skate clean
What else is there to say? This is a great program with wonderful jumps and gorgeous spins. I feel like this is the most relaxed I've seen Yuma at Nationals, and this program sings when he's having fun with the crowd. Yet again, just a tiny little error with the transition out of the 3A, but imo this is exactly the program you want before the Olympics - almost clean but not quite at 100% potential. Yuma seems to be peaking at just the right time.
