Carrots like at Jr Worlds last season. Though Kaoruko is one of the few Japanese skaters who gets called (almost) more strictly internationally than at domestic competitions.

I left for awhile to catch up on John Nicks - what a mistake. I just came back frustrated and now I am very sleepy after so many soft ballads. Two more flights of ladies. How am I going to stay awake for dance?

BTW there is a rewatch for Kinoshita now and I found more skates

Carrots like at Jr Worlds last season. Though Kaoruko is one of the few Japanese skaters who gets called (almost) more strictly internationally than at domestic competitions.

Just joining but IMHO Japanese judges are so focused on SS. (specifically speed) which is something that Kaoruko obviously excels at, that they may ignore deficits in other PCS marks or (frankly obvious) underrotations. The only skaters who get overmarked in Japan seem to share those floaty SS.

Anyway, yes, her jumps are definitely UR even in realtime. She just hides it with her glide. The combo and the loop were both UR. She is a beautiful skater. I don't really like her program choice very much this season, though..

I am going to have to leave you all though. I realized that my teaching day now starts earlier on Fridays. I planned my week earlier this summer to fit in my swimming training and sacrificed the Friday early PM... without considering JGP... OUPS... I guess I may have made the same decision because my priorities would remain in the same order: health, money, skating LOL
