Keiji Tanaka will be skating?!? Oh yeah, I gotta see this! 😍 Seeing the Japanese fans being able to see the Olympic team medalists for themselves should also be priceless. I can't wait to see everyone finally all together with their medals! 🥰

Edit: To add on to what @rabidline said, Shoma received his medal in a brief ceremony in Japan after he had finished with his ice show commitment that had prevented him from receiving his medal in Paris.

It's nice that Keiji and Satoko are invited as guest skaters...but on the other hand, somehow they cut the part of inviting local Novice National champions to perform in the Ex... :rolleye: (I know NvA skaters might be preparing for the Jr. Nationals, but there are also NvB skaters...)

I thought about it too. And man when you think about just how many prominent Japanese skaters out there right now who did the NHK Trophy exhibition as a Novice...

I tried to post detailed program but it didn't work😭
try it again,

Got back from the shops just in time for this!

Looks at Gala list, hmm seems like an odd order, don't the podium placers usually go towards the end of the show?

(Also I spoiled myself for the pairs, boo).

Why is Kao invited, he should rest 😭😭😭

At least I'm glad AzuShin isn't skating in the gala. As much as I love them, Azusa needs to rest and recover too.
Judging by his post skate interview, Kao is in a bad place mentally and emotionally
He said his leg didn't hurt and blaming his FS meltdown on not being skilled and capable enough
He said the reason he's injured in the first place is due to this lack of skill
Instead of taking more time to recover, he's focused on more practice

Tbh, I'm glad and relieved he was invited
I don't want him to leave this ice with negative feelings
I think he might also feel like he disappointed his fans so this will be a way he can thank them for their support

I hope he skates his self choreographed Myra EX

That fall looked pretty hard though, I hope he doesn't hurt himself again just doing gala 😭

But if it really more mental & emotional, well then I hope he gets psychological support as well. Don't burn yourself out this early in your career, child!

Kao really can use a mentor that's neither Noriko Sato nor Okajima. Just an outside perspective that he can trust and want to listen to who can advice him to be patient and take care of himself.

It took a village (Kagiyama Sr., Lori, Carolina) to hold Yuma back from competing when he was injured (and that's with his father being Yuma's coach).

Oh Kao, stop forcing yourself to jump a perfect program
Myra would've shown everyone how talented he is aside from the jumps
but this is where he's at emotionally right now so...
