2025 World Team Trophy Exhibition

"Les Miserables" is a fitting theme for the Italian Ladies after yesterday.

Lara Naki dreamed a dream, while Anna was just plain miserable.

Everything about that programme was beautiful.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about this programme.

And his team-mates have joined him for the final song!

Okay, that's two women who threw themselves down on the ice. I don't see the creativity.

Amber made a valliant effort to disguise that fall early in the programme, but we aren't being fooled! ;)

I think that was the first fall of the Gala.

A really fun programme. And you could see how much Amber was enjoying herself.

The only problem is that I was distracted for most of the programme, trying to work out what the singers were spelling out! They were going too fast for me!

That's strange. They don't normally have two programmes from the same team going back-to-back in the Gala.

But what a contrast between Zhenya / Geoff's programme and Adam's programme just before them.

I loved both!!!

Zhenya and Geoff have really come into their own this season. I love them.

And Kévin joined in with them from the other side of the boards!

Folks, I beg to differ. The little introductions that Team USA did for each and every skater, the swag (made by Jason ;) ), the KnC covered in decorations like a party store gone wild. I thought that they would lose out because they wouldn't want to give the gold medal winners too much, glad to see I was wrong.

Techno version of Hit the Road Jack has got to hit the road. Don't do Mr Ray Charles like that:oops:
When did they do little intros? I missed it.

So far, I have thought all the programmes from the Japanese skaters have been beautiful.

Kaori's programme was VERY different to those of her team-mates. But, it was still beautiful.

And that dress looks amazing on her. Maroon is definitely her colour!

Wow. Just Wow.

I know I am biased because I love Piper and Paul. But, that programme really touched me.

Thank you.

Kévin never disappoints!

I don't think I've ever seen anybody skate to "Everybody" by Martin Solveig. But, it was just made for him! (...or Joubert).

When I saw Kévin's name on the start list, I secretly kinda hoped he would be wearing his Japanese schoolgirl outfit. It would have been a laugh. But, thank goodness he didn't! It wouldn't have worked for this programme.

I loved it just as it was!

i don't think the point is really how well the Americans can fluff :)

it's that usually, these fluff awards, are given to another fluff team, not the one who won the non-fluff part of the fluff competition... :)

Don't like Yuma's shirt in itself. But, it did actually look good against the pattern created by the lighting on the ice.

I enjoyed that programme.

Just a pity it didn't work out for him in the competition.

We really are getting a lot of beautiful programmes today. And I'm not complaining.

Another beautiful programme, courtesy of Alysa.

Why did I mention Kévin's Japanese schoolgirl outfit? It's given Niccolò ideas!

Given the height difference, I'm amazed Plushenko's costume fitted Sara. :p

That was, erm, different. I'll never watch a "Swan Lake" programme in the same way again!

A load of fun.

When Ilia came out wearing the theatrical mask, I was expecting a "Phantom Of The Opera" programme.

How far off the mark could I have been?! :drama:

I love Riku and Ryuichi. I love "Can't Stop the Feeling" by Justin Timberlake, and think it makes great skating programmes. And I loved their skating.

But, for me, it didn't work. The song just didn't fit with the other ingredients.

Different music with everything else the same might work better.
