Congratulations to all the medal winners and all those perfect predictors. I, only the other hand, placed on page 2 nowhere near a medal this week but I did enjoy watching the event. Thanks to all who run this contest. Off to NHK and hopefully better results.

I hadn't won anything for some time and now 3 medals in one event. 
Wow an individual silver!

and for my very first skate picks of the season ! .... wonder if I should keep doing skate picks for the rest of the GPs to confirm this was not a fluke, or leave at the peak of my predictions career not to confirm that it was 
In any case, it was a very nice surprise. Big thanks to @CherylDee and everyone else organizing this! and to all the ice dance couples in Skate Canada without whom this would have never happened

I am as bad at predictions as ever. The worst part of it I don't seem to care about competition results anymore, only about skating. I just now went to look at the ISU page to find out who won what and was very surprised, 
not the first time this happens. Congrats to those who won, to whom it is important. Congrats to those who didn't win and are philosophical about it.

I am just now looking at the ISU result page, and this looks unpredictable.

Malinin doesn't even have any particular swagger. He almost always watches other groups skate, standing well in the back, claps to other competitors when they take a bow in practice, always talks to other guys, doesn't hog practice space or tries to intimidate/psyche out others. He doesn't have an one of those 'I'm the first!' gestures. He is focused before skates, smiles after landing something he particularly loved to land and after the last jumping pass or one of his highlight moves, visibly enjoys his step sequences, chats with his dad/coach in K&C, accepts his results with a good cheer, always thanks the fans... (shrug). I mean, Selevko comes across as more brash, Memola or Aymoz are more posers, and they are all fine anyway even with those 'more', nowhere near any unpleasant behavoir, and could be invited to any grandmother's house without reservation.
