2025 Skate to Milano Men's Short Program

The second AIN athlete might have chosen a song with more inspiring lyrics than, 'I'm losing control...' Not helpful with opening nerves. Obviously, Hanretty observed the same thing. Too bad for this young man, Yauhenii Puzanau. He's surely capable of scoring higher.

Gummenik was very good, and they gave him an excellent score, which may or may not have been as high up against a stronger field. He wasn't likely the best he's capable of being, IMO. I detected understandable nerves on some of Gummenik's landings which he managed to control very well. Judges were generously fair.

ETA:
It's really nice to see Petr Gummenik again. He's grown up so much. 🙂

A skater using his own music, with Mark and Ted referencing Starr Andrews skating to her own vocals--Stop giving Ilia ideas!!!!! At this rate he's going to be using a program to an emo rap song he performed with his own voiceovers layered over it, his own choreography and some outfit her designed involving an oversized hood and a screen print of his technical score sheet and some cutting X comments embroidered on it, and we will all deserve it.

David GOUVEIA POR had a disappointing day today. Hopefully he will have a better free skate. Such a good experience for him to be here and see how the other skaters prepare and skate. Sometimes seeing someone do something live in front of you helps your timing click and once your brain processes that experience you start to begin to replicate it soon after.

Look when you see Petr and compare him to probability to the rest of this field it is jarring to say the least.

I find it ironic we have a disclaimer to refrain from making negative comments about AIN athletes and everyone here is excessively praising them.

Gumennik was aggressively fine. Calm down.

Of course, he's going to look like a world champion here-- the starting orders are seeded by world ranking, so he's with the lowest ranked skaters in this group.
