2025 Skate to Milano (Olympic Qualifier) | Sep 19-21

I didn't say they are the USA's 3rd strongest pair team. I say they are the USA's 3rd strongest pair team that is able to take part in the Olympics.
I’m only aware of citizenship issues with Alisa Efimova and Daniil Parkman. Chan and Howe are ranked higher nationally and internationally over Shin and Nagy and, to my knowledge, they are not retired.

I haven't seen some of them in quite a while. Like Petr G. So that'll be fun. Nice to see the neutral athletes. AND always happy to see Aussie's Holly and Jason!!!

Yes, but they should go to the Olympics anyway, since the US already has at least two spots. I meant that Shin/Nagy are the ones who need that third spot so they were chosen for the event.

Surprise! We decided to do a Skate Picks!

:fun:

I kinda had a feeling you would. ;)

But, I think I'm going to pass on playing. I am too invested with some of the skaters that are competing here, and wanting them to get through, to be objective in making predictions.

Same here. This comp it's too nerve wracking to play preds for me.

Oh no I am all in on playing. I'm itching to see how this all plays out. So many skaters I would love to get an Olympic spot, but not enough places for them all. I need to game this out so I can prepare for reality and understand why some will not get their dream to soften the blows.

Actually, when you put it like that, it would be helpful to go ahead and do the normal research that I do when making out my predictions. But, I'm still leaning towards not actually doing any predictions.

That said, when it comes nearer the time, I may find the temptation to play too much!

I’m wondering if P/T WD because they are going to Beijing, also maybe it even was strategic to WD because they were so far behind M/R after the RD that it would not look good for the Fed with such big scores difference from the National Qualifying Competition. Since they never skater the FD there were no offically total score to compare it with. That T/F WD right before this competition feels iffy. It might be injury but it all seems so strange with P/T winning the National Competition and also suddenly WD after that score in the RD and behind M/R.
Imagine if T/F did skate at Lombardia as well and also placed above them. It would look superbad for the Fed sending the 3rd best team. I think the Italian Fed will stick with their selection process, but who knows.
I am assuming that T/F is Tali/LaFornara? I was just on SkatingScores and T/L do not have worlds minimums yet while P/T & M/R do. I wonder when they are planning to get that out of the way.

Tali/LaFornara have not yet done any senior international competitions. They do not have the Euros minimums either, for that reason. It looks like Nepela is now scheduled to be their first competition.

Temptation was too strong here, but I went with my heart on the prediction this time :ROFLMAO: Unfortunately i´m going to be a wreck

I really like the look of @Alisa's Men's predictions:

I know the Men are the chaos category, but it would take quite a bit of chaos for my fellow Ulsterman to win! :p
