like you i was just thinking it was English having more exceptions than rules, like the word wry that for some reason is pronounced like oowray i can't understand why, where are those vowels?

One thing that always bothered me is the name Sean. It’s pronounced like Shawn, but I don’t see an H anywhere. I see “seen.”
