2026-27 Canadian Figure Skating

Also confirmation Minsol is skating seniors, right?
It would be good if SC had a team B for all those skaters that should be eligible for senior B competitions. It would promote them to the public.

I thought they would give us a bit more than that : wouldn't the skaters who get Skate Canada be included later on ? I thought they may do it right away

And ladies and gentlemen : Skate Canada sees women as the deepest field in Canadian skating right now ;)
Saine beat you by a few minutes 🥺
The day someone posts news faster than saine will be something….

Love the wealth of ladies. All of them with 175+ scores. This list doesn’t even include Kaiya.

The National Team was expected. No surprises.

Loucas and Fiona are the ones I think, that will get added 😜

Not necessarily. But, I think the chances are high for her to be skating Seniors this season. I do think she needs more time to be competitive in the Senior Ladies circuit though…

Finally official: Max is retired
My beloved Maxime. Of course, we knew... but I am still sad. I was hoping Deanna would finally convince him to do "one season at a time" with a reduced amount of events... but even she couldn't make that happen.

I have seen Max coach a bit already and he is really good. Young skaters are in good hands with him from the little I have seen. May he have a fantastic second career !

Now that the NextGen start orders are up, Minsol is not on them. I'm assuming that means she won't be competing as a Junior this season.
Minsol will most likely get Skate Canada.

Reese is NextGen...

I am surprised Aleksa earned her spot. Of course she was extremely injured and struggling to get back so maybe it's monitoring that got her back there. Camila has been the steadier of the two sisters so far but I have a special spot for Aleksa : when she's on her skating is beautiful.

Go pairs and dance from Quebec.. impressive representation. Shows how infrastructure matters as pairs and dance coaches are numerous in Québec.

Glad to see Liam Schmidt there. I love his skating. May he get his jumps under control.
