2026-27 Figure Skating events

Probably not many people eligible since minimum donation to FOFS went up so much.
Possibly and you are right, its now $150...but I still see the usual suspects in the front row on the Telly. It will be interesting to browse seats after today's fan sale, then regular sales. For me, the actual participants are not that critical. Its a fun event near by so no aeroplanes involved. Only the $600 seat and the $500 motel and food.

I was thinking it went up to $1000. But that's the minimum for buying tickets to the breakfast.

Correct. If you just want early access, its $150. If you want the old benefits like one free ticket to the breakfast and the ability to buy additional tickets, its gonna cost you.
Even for $1000 you don't get a free breakfast ticket. But you can buy one for $75!

But things are better in the ticket department, where you now get some early access by just signing up. Skate Canada has done it that way for a long time; you get access to tickets one day early just by signing up. But they differ from USFS in that you don't get ticket access even earlier by donating.

As of noon, Wed, during free fan day, ticket sales are picking up but not spectacular. Still row 2 tickets available.
I think sales to "new fans" attracted by the hoopla over the latest Olympics won't kick in until the skaters are announced. I think Alyssa and Ilia will be big attractions and may bring in a new audience who haven't attended live competitions in the past. They probably aren't yet clued in enought to know that
  1. Skate America exists
  2. even though it's an international competition, there will be many top US skaters there
  3. tickets have gone on sale already
  4. they can get tickets early by signing up for USFS notifications
Stars on Ice sales in the US seem to be very strong. USFS needs to put out some PR to translate some of that into attendance at Skate America and US Nationals.

Finland has postponed WC2027 tickets sales from April to May. The reason is said that schedules has not been confirmed yet.

They are not planning to hold gala, I hope it will changed. No idea whose idea this was, ISU's or local fed's. I suppose the fed have got some feedback about that. I wonder if ISU's advice is that there won't be no more galas, they just decrease one by one from competition to competition.

ITA and with Alysa being chosen as one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people, she is still riding the wave, and USFS needs to ride that wave. The problem is at this point guaranteeing what people will show up where. When That Hughes girl didnt show up at SA Spokane 2002, everyone here in skating was scared....till MK agreed to fill in... 😍
When the team challage cup came to spokane and Yuzu had other committments, attendance was ho hum......
